Hennessey finally tested their new Venom F5 engine at a furious 1,817 horsepower and 1000lb ft from 2k-8k revs!
I just cant understand what that would feel like on a sub-1,361-kg car! What is not quoted is the reduction of hp from the gear box!

Autonomous drive around UK city, Worcester, doesn't go well.
Came across this YouTube video where a guy drives around various cities in his Tesla to show how or if they can cope with UK conditions. I found the one linked below as he drives around Worcester on roads with which I am very familiar.
Executive summary, it's worse than rubbish, won't pass parked vehicles without intervention, and even then cuts too close. It gets worried about vehicle passing parked cars on the other side if they stick a wheel over the white line even when there's enough room to get a bus through without effort. Roundabouts, give me strength. Many times when it can't cope with bends and multi lane traffic. The driver alters his intended route any number of times because the vehicle just fails to follow what seems the intended path. Stopped at a red lightbehind a vehicle, it seems very slow to set off to me.
Call me a Luddite if you wish but there's still a hell of a long way to go on this evidence. It's #7 in a series, cba to watch any more. Maybe one day but...
