With an 8,000hp engine lifed for just one 5-second race, and only 45 minutes between elimination heats, Top Fuel drag teams have their work cut out to completely tear down and rebuild the cars multiple times per race day.
Here's a mechanic's eye view of an engine reduced to components in under 6 minutes. Bear in mind as well that these things are all red hot when they arrive back in the pits!
