I don't watch Nascar but this is epic. Ross Chastain is on the final lap of the race and too many positions down to keep his title hopes alive.

With nothing to lose he thinks "why not?" and tries what we all did on our consoles as kids.

It only fking works! laugh The in car shots are near the end.

That's excellent, is everyone going to do that on the last corner on all the short ovals now? Could get expensive/messy.

No idea where to put this, snake oil?

https://newatlas.com/automotive/two-piece-con-rod-...

"And the design would also appear to create extra lateral force on the pistons, since the lower pivot point and shorter main arm make the angle between the con rod and the cylinder bore even greater. Not only that, but the distance between the main gudgeon pin and the new, lower pivot now effectively appears to become a torque arm that'll amplify the forces making the piston want to tilt." The extra loading on the side loading of the piston is cause for concern but I am no mechanical engineer.

I seem to remember that Citroen built some cars in the late 70's with a microswitch in the gear lever.

Lucky jodie driving that race car let alone on public roads.
fantastic car .........ruined by very poor commentary. Honestly , when you watch Harrys Garage , The late brake show or even the Clarkson, May . Hamster trilogy , you appreciate good journalism.

The epic 962.... Christ , show a bit of Le mans footage .....a few ex drivers Derek Bell

sorry Jodie .... missed opportunity

compared to the 917 footage

Aging Wheels smile . As part of his bus project (half camper, half flatbed to carry a car), he's bought a Ford Escape (Maverick) to test the 2x Tesla motors setup. Stripping out the Escape for now, it's going to be a dual motor 900bhp thing hehe .

What a thing that is cloud9

That’s the first car in decades that I’d put a poster of on my wall. Just gone to the top of the euromillion garage.
