If sold in the US it will be for a lot less! For some reason VW price very cheaply over there compared to here. A new Golf GTI for example could be had for the $20k mark up until a few years ago.

I think the new Beetle Looks ok
I prefer it to the last one, I think it resembles the original more closely too. The last one was trying too hard to be cutesy, and the look didn't really gel with a car of that size.

Next it'll be a Transporter Van Homage to the Splittie in a nice 'period retro' two-tone paint scheme.
Urgh.
And that'll be £65,000 biggrin
...£52k, that was the sticker price of a VW transporter camper that I saw in a showroom last week....£52,000.00

Fifty two thousand pounds.....
You know what's scary? There'll be more options that you can spec to increase that price...
To be fair, the original VW vans were not exactly great value for money when they were new either.

Seems VW are admitting they messed up on the pricing for this! Its been slashed to a more reasonable £33,170 with immediate effect and the 6 people who ordered at the old price refunded the difference smile

Far for from cheap still but much better value and a reasonable price for what you are getting

Another reminder why hatchbacks should not have their rooves chopped off and turned into cabrios.
