If sold in the US it will be for a lot less! For some reason VW price very cheaply over there compared to here. A new Golf GTI for example could be had for the $20k mark up until a few years ago.

Seems VW are admitting they messed up on the pricing for this! Its been slashed to a more reasonable £33,170 with immediate effect and the 6 people who ordered at the old price refunded the difference

Far for from cheap still but much better value and a reasonable price for what you are getting
