RE: Audi RS Q3 - official
Discussion
^^^ *crickets*
Audi just announced a facelift for the RS Q3 - 20 months after the debut (!) of the old one. Surely that has to be some sort of record?

I wonder how many they sold. Fewer than 1000 if I had to guess...

I'm not a fan of the silly looking grille and headlights. Hope that isn't getting rolled out to the rest of the range
Looks an awful lot like the "new" 3 series, now that you mention it...Here is a video. The normal Q3 has the same thing going on but with silver plastic instead of chrome. (@0:20 min)

Just about to swap my wife's year old golf R for one of these main reasons being
- liked high up drive position in Q3
-Q3 not too big to park
-doesn't like diesels
- only wanted a blue car and only nice blue is on RSQ3 (or £2000 option on lower models)
-nearly new second hand the RSQ3 is pretty close in price to reasonably specced new 2.0 or 1.4 petrol q3
So there are reasons somebody would want one after all.

Not sure I'd want to swap from a Golf 7R into one of these. Although they've updated the looks, underneath the Q3 is still sitting on decade old PQ35 underpinnings, as used in the Golf Mk5 and A3 8P. Your R is on the new generation MQB platform offering a sharper drive and all the latest technology. So in some ways this is a step down. - liked high up drive position in Q3

Thanks - know that old platform but my wife was happier with her even older mk5 GTI than the R which has got a busy overstressed engine and annoying fake noises. Expect that 5 cylinder 2.5 litre will be a better engine to live with even if not as modern and efficient. Annoying that Audi don't include all the stuff that VW put in their golfs as standard kit nowadays though.
