I have met mwstewart a few times and knowing him, this is more than likely a very subtle bilingual joke based on the spelling of the verb "to loose" as in to release - from the Germanic root that gives them "los", normally used when opening fire on something. A commentary on Audi wilfully broadening their horizons and destroying their previous image, no doubt.
Is that like the grammatical joke, regarding;
the difference between "knowing your st" and "knowing your'e st"????

Makes what you said above invalid.
exactly.. isn't the X3 up against the Q5???http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Vehicles/20...

I'm a bit confused here.
If you want a fast SUV from Audi, why would you buy this over the SQ5? Ok, it's diesel, but 309bhp and a RSQ3 trouncing 479lbft of torque over 310lbft with a nominal weight difference. SQ5 is also 5.1sec to 0-62, and better fuel economy.
Ok the Petrol engine and resulting characteristics will appeal to some, but it's still a weird one to me.
Edit: Only a single exhaust too, not exactly RS!!

Of course, the Radical is fitted with a 300BHP version of that very engine. Best not tell Ford.
You've missed the point, smartar$e.I imagine most anyone can by some means get their hands on a 240PS Ford EcoBoost engine and tune it, as I imagine Radical and some others do.
However, that's a world of difference from being able to buy a Ford-developed, tuned EcoBoost, as would be the case with a ~300 horsepower Ford RS spec engine, with associated to Ford standards durability and so on.
That o.k. with you now, mate?
PS the next Ford Focus RS, due around 2014/15, will get a development of the current 2 litre EcoBoost engine, bored out to 2.3 litres capacity, and will also go in the next Ford Mustang - the one the three old men on Top Gear mocked - and will produce up to 350 horsepower. Just too bad it won't be available to the Evoque - as it's a FORD engine.
