I haven't been back to this thread in a year or more, but I'm glad to see that the same discussion is happening.

Very few of what I'd consider genuine sleepers show up on here.
I see a lot that would be perfect, but then for some reason they've blacked out the badges and stuck a bubble number plate and maybe some extra bright led bulbs.
These cars have had about £50 and an hour spent on them to make them subtly different, and would take about the same to make them back to 100% standard looking if that is what they wanted, and would be free if they kept the original bits. But for some reason people don't seem to.
I can't tell if a sleeper is really niche and actually people like to discuss the idea but secretly crave more attention. Or if the first rule of having a sleeper is you don't go drawing attention by posting about it on the internet and what we see here is the tip of the iceberg.
