Autocar's forum closed down today which is sad. Posted there for 5 years and looking for a new home. Any old Autocar members around? Anyone else just joined here? Anyone want to say hello?

Because it was a buggy, outdated POS, that replaced the old buggy, outdated POS the last time all the members left.

I did register there once but there never seemed to be much going on.

I do buy autocar every week though for my mid week pub car reading - a great roadtest on the Exige S this week!

Isn't autocar Haymarket (PH) in any case - it would make sense for PH to be the online car forum and autocar to be the offline mag in that case!

Aye, both are HM owned but we do run all mags very separately so it's not unusual for various mags to compete. Keeps us on our toes.

Welcome to Autocar people in any case. PH is really a whole load of different forums, the marque ones are little communities in themselves and some of the threads in The Lounge have remained a mystery to me.

Since I purchased my W124 I've really appreciated the help offered here- a very friendly place indeed.

The Autocar forum was possibly the most negative place I have ever visited, welcome but please leave behind the posters with the usual audi/bmw/mercedes are crap brigade

Looks fixed now! I am an Autocar reader. Tried the forums a few times but as others have mentioned they seemed pretty quiet compared to here. Plus this place has such depth.
