Thanks for sharing, I remember reading about these back in the day, probably in Fast Lane? Had totally escaped my memory though!
Good man for keeping it going.
+1 to the above.Good man for keeping it going.
In the same vein, maybe not quite as far from the original production vehicle, anyone remember the Rouse 304R?
Same ilk, a tuner special, and relatively few of them about.

I guess he forgot about little things like air resistance and friction...
More to the point the little thing called inertia? A "0-60" time of 4 seconds just to spin up the inertia of the drive train, wheels and dynamometer kit versus the inertia of taking a tonne of car from rest would equate to a slow car indeed. What am I missing?offspring86 said:
According to that it has a top speed of 170mph in fifth gear, is that a (max rpm) x(Gear Ratio) top speed or can that ford sierra actually do 170mph?Either way, nice to see it's still running and being looked after

I'm pretty sure I have a copy of fast lane with this in it or something very similar and it did go to 170mph. I'll try and dig it out. Either way, nice to see it's still running and being looked after

And me. The second I saw it I was taken straight back to seeing adverts, probably in Car, Performance Car or Fast Lane. Can't remember seeing an article about it but will be having a determined root around in the mag library tonight.Good man for keeping it going.
