Exactly this........tuning aside, that looks marvellous in the grey.
A bit off topic I know, but that was my first thought - it looks great in grey with the black carbonfibre side thingies ! And I reckon the standard horsepower would be enough to entertain me ! For a while anyway...simonrockman said:

"Any schmuck can buy a fast car, I want mine to be unique" is the mindset. you don't have to like it but that's the way it is!
That way lies Masonry. He said "masonry"
Or Singer, or Underground Racing, or Stasis, or Lichfield - why only name Mansory as if anyone wanting to remotely personalise their car is automatically choose them?? Furthermore, I don't even know if the Yanks are aware of Mansory anyway...

That way lies Masonry.Aged 20, I bought a 600 ccm sports bike with ~100 bhp and ~290 kg weight incl. driver (me), so the power to weight ratio was about 0.3 hp per kg. It was fun but only 7 months later I knew I wanted more. Sold the 600 and bought an R1 - 150 bhp and ~ 280 kg incl. my very own skinny rear end - so about 0.5 bhp per kg. I enjoyed this bike so much and became a somewhat capable driver - knee dragging in hairpins, sustained wheelies and stoppies, flying through twisties in the forests and doing orgasmic stuff on the Autobahn which would have got me in jail in the US and elsewhere. No accidents or falls btw, as opposed to my 34 bhp beginner bike.
The R1 was the most powerful antidepressant I ever was on and I seriously developed clinically depressed symptoms when I sold it to get a more "rational" car.
Just a ~60% higher power to weight ratio than the 600 and it was a different world. I loved it so much and for the first time in my life I didn't ask for much more.
15 years later I buy a used 996tt and have it tuned to about 600 hhp, so we're at a power to weight ratio of about 0.35. Same story: It was fun, but not what I really really was yearning for.
The M838t is a freaking awesome engine. Opposed to the stupid long stroke of the Gallardo V10, the M838t is a radical short stroker with just 20 m/s piston velocity at the stock redline of 8.5 krpm so it would easily be possible to get it beyond 10 krpm (still turbo charged, mind you) even w/o forged pistons and titanium connecting rods.
With my dream of hypothetical variable twin scroll 35s or even 30s, this beast could easily provide 700 kw at the rear wheels while not sacrificing everyday drivability and so the p/w ratio would be about 0.6 bhp/kg. Even slightly better than my beloved R1 back then and I'm confident I wouldn't be overwhelmed.
To me, saying a vehicle could have too much power is like saying there could be too much piece in our world.
Nobody forces me to floor it all the time. Everybody can control even a max. 10,000 bhp car if the gas pedal characteristics are sweet.
Bottomline, tl;dr: As soon as I get hold of a big chunk of dough, which will sadly happen sooner or later, I'm gonna get myself a 12c or 570 and make it so that I'm gonna be a very happy man ☺

Well I'm glad this thread was dug-up from 2,000 years ago.
Ja ja ... the good old necrobump argument. I never understood it. Why is it bad to bump a thread? I can't think of any reason. So according to you, only people that "are there" at the time a thread is started should be allowed to comment, is that right? But why? Seriously curious here.steveb8189 said:

Can we stop this stupid Americanism please? It's plastered everywhere now and looks so childish/fastfurious to me. Am I the only one? What is the "English" alternative?
Did you really not know that?
