https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science_and_environment
The Bloodhound supersonic car is back, under new management and preparing to renew its pursuit of the land speed record.
The project went into administration last year, unable to secure the financing needed to go racing - even though the vehicle was all but built.
But with the purchase of the car by entrepreneur Ian Warhurst, Bloodhound has been put on a new footing.
Engineers are looking to start high-speed trials as soon as possible.
These could take place in the South African desert later this year, although team-members are being cautious about giving hard timelines for the re-booted venture.
Mr Warhurst is determined, however, that the new set-up should deliver on its objectives.
"Since buying Bloodhound from the administrators last December, the team and I have been overwhelmed by the passion and enthusiasm the public have shown for the project," he said.
"Over the last decade, an incredible amount of hard graft has been invested in the project and it would be a tragedy to see it go to waste
"Starting with a clean slate, it's my ambition to let Bloodhound off the leash see just how fast this car can go. I've been reviewing the project and I'm confident there is a commercial business proposition to support it. I'll provide robust financing to ensure there is cashflow to hit the high-speed testing deadlines we set ourselves."....continues

Did you communicate with the new owner? I'd have thought he would want to hear from everyone who was involved, even if it was only to get the 'minority report' version, especially as it concerns safety.
Nope, nothing whatsoever. Really odd, there is so much that's not formally documented.IN51GHT said:
