350k budget, 1 or 2 cars ... But which?

Heh point 2 - you never heard of 'man maths'? Lost count of people who spend future income on luxuries - people generally spend what they have. Making no assumptions about the OP - simply that £350k on cars would come down on my list relative to properly secure future income. Basically, if the £350k is not much compared to earnings, I'd spend it.
3- has to do with 2. Spending £350 on depreciating liabilities if you have plenty of income producing assets is no big deal. Spending it when you don't already have a pile of passive income producing assets is daft.
4 - no I don't. But I do know people who spend everything they earn on trinkets and then go bust and have no security. He clearly isn't stupid.
Or maybe we could just enjoy talking about cars.....3- has to do with 2. Spending £350 on depreciating liabilities if you have plenty of income producing assets is no big deal. Spending it when you don't already have a pile of passive income producing assets is daft.

And yet all your responses point to the suggestion that you think the OP has £350k in the world and is planning on spending it on cars rather than financial security for the future. Let him worry about his financial future and just answer the question he asked (or don't respond at all) about which cars to get 3- has to do with 2. I love the fact the Noble M600 gets so much support here.
I'd have a Noble M600 Carbonsport in the deepest black possible so you can still see the carbonweave, with gold wheels, like this:
And for the remaining 100k or so I'd get this:

Cars are assets. Yes they do have associated liabilities, but for the car that the OP is considering, the liabilities are small compared to the value of the assets. Some serious killjoys on this thread..
Firstly getting hungup on the Range Rover. I think this was just another way for the OP to say 'you don't need to factor in practicality into your choices because thoses bases are covered'.
Those saying they would spend £XX,XXX on something and use the rest to pay off the mortgage - hardly the point of the thread.
Finally those calculating how much annual income you need in order to justify spending 350k on cars.. are you for real? Get a life!

... handbags down for a sec please gents.
Simple truth is (I say with my right arm raised as if I am at an AA class), "I am a petrolhead through and through" ... I admit it ... cars are "MY ONE THING" (other than the Mrs of course in case she reads this).
I could spend the little spare "me" time I do get, going to the gym, keeping up with the latest fashion trends, having my haircut, every week, learning new languages, flower arranging or whatever else others find interesting.
Personally ... I DON'T ... I get home after a long day, flop on the sofa and watch TopGear repeats, play on the iPad spending hours and hours trawling the classifieds and AutoTrader seeing what is about .... and usually have either a beer or a glass of wine in my hand. I did cut out the fags and now I'm addicted to vape cigarettes instead.
Of course I have my own ideas about what I fancy next but it changes like the wind, hence I like hearing other peoples ideas too ... especially fellow petrolheads.
I was toying with the idea of an Aventador Roadster ... but logic says it's a lot of money to change for not a real different car.
Hence why the F12 seemed an idea, but it doesn't seem to have the same appeal as an Aventador.
Then I quite fancy a BAC mono to run alongside, or do I go for a Bentley CGT and a 458, or or or or or ... I drive myself mad ... hence why I'd ask the thoughts of other fellow petrol heads.
I didn't mean to start this thread because I need/want any life coaching (I get enough of that from the mrs saying drink less beer, get fitter etc) ... I started my own business and after blood sweat and tears it's gone ok .... I'm not going to trouble the Sultan of Brunai, but it's funding my passion.
I hoped to get some out the box ideas off others that I may not have even thought about myself, which is exactly whats happened in terms of the LFA and other suggestions, so thank-you all.
My first ever car was still the one I remember most .... that feeling of freedom is unrepeatable ... even if it was a cream metro with a brown velour interior, with the reg number of A286 REV .... every car has been an experience (other than my MGF which was just Sh*t) and sod it ... we're all different, but more importantly we and all only here once !!!
A V12 Lambo was my dream car ... ever since watching Cannonball Run as a boy ... but that's been kind of ticked now .... so a new goal needs to be set.
Genuinely, thanks for all the interest and suggestions guys ... it is all useful and I have enjoyed reading the ideas and seeing the cars others would go for.
.... handbags can resume ha ha !!!

I guess it depends what you like to do. Few of us had any idea that you had this cash handy - we'd just assumed it was a fun lottery win type game
Personally, I love big road trips and motor racing. My dream road car is an Evora S (I go purely on how cars drive, not on looks or sound etc, so can only comment on the best road car I've ever driven, which was the Evora S). For racing, I'd love to race a quick slicks and wings (F3 or F3000) and also a raucous old hairy thing like that Lister Jag Harris drove in the recent video, although obviously not one of those within budget, more like an MGBV8 or TVR etc - I think £350k would cover all of those bases. Everyone's got their own tastes though and yes, it's been very interesting watching people's responses to an open question. In reality, if it was my money I'd have more than two cars: I'd keep my 3 series for lugging stuff about (I may upgrade to an M3 though!), an Evora S for all my other road use, my 2-Eleven and a Caterham for track days, a couple of racing cars and I'd still have change left for a couple of classics - maybe a couple of Ferraris, say a 550 and a 308. That'd be my lot Oh, and my wife would like a 996 GT3.

Didn't know you had an MGF! Guess you have to take the rough with the smooth. You had a Tuscan when I worked for you
Here's a different thought for you.
1. Sunbeam Tiger, small car with big V8 and no driver aids at all. I had one in the '90s - it made me grin every time I drove it.
2. Jaguar XK 120 or 150 - another smallish car with large engine and no electronics. Never owned one, only driven them, and they are huge fun.
Another 'must own' car for me is the 2.7 RS Carrera, one of the purest driving experiences ever :-)

Yes I had a green MGF after my Cavalier SRi, which needed damp start after it rained to start which says it all ... Long time ago that!

How much does a 288 GTO set you back these days? I can only find POAs
If not I'd go for a hakosuka GTR which would then leave me about £250k for a nicely specced Singer 911
