When I was 17, my first car was a black GXL, loved the noise of it's twin webers and those deep cowelled gauges but I got pulled over a few times by plod because non standard colour. Happy days indeed.

I was wondering the same, but they run out of money before they did the front (the radar visible bit)? Little underside protection from IEDs and those 24 carat gold ashtrays are gonna be a problem if you get hit by any sabot type anti armour rounds.

Yep I think you are right. Our local dealer in Kent wasn't shifting too many Metros but the 6R4 was doing pretty well in competition - so along came the white 1.3 Metro with a triple decker rear wing and 4R2 (4 cylinders, 2 wheel drive) decals ...seriously...
