I could PM you? or you could PM me and I can let you know my email address. I don't want to go into any detail in public or even pass the info to anyone but him, but could tell you the gist of it privately by email, if he wants to know more he could then contact me direct by email. Its purely important info from one enthusiast of the marque to another on that particular car.
It has nothing to do with Mclaren or any of their products/history.
I have just sent you Pistonheads PM which I hope you receive. It has the user name of another member; PM him and he will forward to me and I can then get it to ZB.It has nothing to do with Mclaren or any of their products/history.

Dare I ask - how is the NSX Refresh coming along?
Still waiting for them to send me the sample images illustrating what photos they want me to take and send back to them. Extremely frustrating, but I don't know what else I can do. I certainly don't want to give up on the car.https://youtu.be/TBfRtAFdwHI?t=4m1s
Flemke's old P1 getting a workout at Goodwood. Very brief paddock footage of the car starts at 1:25.

Yes, I agree. To have a highly skilled, and articulate, professional racing drive review a track car is a good idea, and in this case what Hildebrand wrote is quite enlightening.
I've met JR a few times now and he is one of the smartest racing drivers I've come across. He also knows more about autonomous technology than most people I know who cover the industry, and now it turns out he's a bloody good writer. I suppose it's time for me to find a new career (again). Just watching a chris evans top gear on Dave.
Looks like your F1 Flemke, would you have let the Stig do a lap?
Woukd be interesting as i am sure it would have done a good time
I don't know the video, but it would not have been my car. A couple of times TG have asked if they could use the car for the show, but I have declined. They have a reputation for thrashing the cars that they use.Looks like your F1 Flemke, would you have let the Stig do a lap?

I could have bought this one when it was up for auction years ago, or the other standard car with LM upgrade, which was owned by one of my best friends, when he put it up for sale. Neither interested me.
As Sway says, the wing on the back of the road cars looks a bit silly, and the car's normal engine, which when run-in produces IRO 670 bhp, is more than enough or, as Mika Hakkinen said after having driven a standard F1 during the early days, "It is definitely enough power!"
Another problem with any of the cars with the high-downforce kit is that normally (and in this case) at the same time as the conversion the owners would go for wider front wheels and tyres. That might sound good, but it entailed a meaningful reduction in the car's turning circle, which was pretty large to begin with.
The paint and interior of this car were selected by its Venezuelan owner at the time, and let's just say that the car reflects a South American aesthetic: not necessarily for everyone (such as me!!! )
And those hundred-spoke wheels. McLaren had them made up by OZ after the '97 GTRs used the same design. In order to get OZ to make up a road-legal version, McLaren had to order ten sets. The last I knew, they still had nine sets in inventory.
Btw, last night someone told me that terms have been agreed on this car. Deal price starts with a "2".
