The reason I posed the question is that Flemke is quite resolute on many matters, and goes into quite some detail as to why he takes a particular stance, and is rarely if ever swayed away from it, even when constructive alternative argument is put forward....
There is more than one possible explanation for that. wink

Throughout these ongoing threads you display some very aspergers like traits, and there is nothing wrong in that at all, I often recognise the same things in myself, and it is also why so many successful people out there cut through the bullst barriers in life and achieve their goals, as they simply think in black and white, not the varying shades of grey in society.

Do you recognise that in yourself? It took me a long time to realise why my thinking was different from most other people, although I have never been diagnosed, and such traits are often co morbid with other conditions anyway.

Now I do realise my thinking is different to the norm I can be swayed with constructive debate, has that happened to you at all? as you do seem very rigid in your views and will go into great detail as to why you wont be moved from a particular stance.

A friend works with autistic teenagers and when discussing such with them their view is that their life is ordered and under their control, and that society itself is weird as most people lives are in constant chaos.

I imagine Ron Dennis is a prime example of such.

If you don't mine me asking, do you spend a lot of time alone?

As people who do (including me in the past) tend to over analyse and other-think things and that is how you are coming across to me.

21 for me.

I massively over-analyse everything all of the time.

I would also like an F1.

No not really, but I do tend to spot things that others normally gloss over, which is probably why I scored a 36 biggrin

It is an interesting test, some of the questions do make you think even if you are not in the upper range.

Its been a few years since I last had a go, so just tried again. 38 this time, I am getting worse! tongue out

Examples?

And I got 13, which would surprise a few people around me! Do I find it hard to make friends? No, Do I make new friends, far too lazy. Do I know-how to keep a conversation going? Yes. Can I be bothered to, No hehe and so on.

Examples, none really that would be relevant to someone who does not know me.

The questions they use when looked at in isolation can lead away to many paths, its the grouping I believe that produces the final score and a result.

As I said in the original question, elements of aspergers can be co morbid to other conditions, in the case of my daughter, she is now 13 and subsequent medical investigation eventually led to a different lead diagnosis for her.

Not that I'm competitive - but I scored high 30's when I did it a while back ... I think the score was described as something like "unable to function in society" - which isn't far off the mark. smile

(Is there anyone who doesn't like palindromic dates, FFS?)

They are very slow. In theory I have a slot allocated and am awaiting information from them regarding exactly what photos of the car they want me to take and send to them before the car is shipped. I have exchanged e-mails with a chap working at the Refresh Center, am currently awaiting a reply from him. I may call him directly.

I took that test, and got a 32. I'm not sure I've answered the questions correctly, and some of them didn't really have a correct answer for me, in particular the last one (which will be meaningless if the quiz contains different questions each time it is opened, or the same questions in a different order).
