rofl

Yes, because it's so much slower than its lighter rivals.
It's called handling. Also, mpg.
yeah, 'cos it's so slow in the corners isn't it rofl

hehe Indeed.

I can not think of any road car I have ever driven, that drives through and out of corners under power like a GTR can. You have to recalibrate your mind to realise what is possible - it will storm out of slow corners in a terrifying burst of grunt and grip that seems to defy physics while somehow making the driver feel like a hero. Epic stuff. You only realise once you've driven one in anger, just how good it is.

Guy? PH only employs the most skilful stunt sheep for our Welsh driving vids. Local knowledge of the best roads plus the fact we're bringing valuable employment to The Valleys - it's the socially responsible thing to do. OK, so you have to drive back along the M4 with the windows open to get rid of the smell of damp wool but such is the way of it.

Cheers,

Dan

I've done a full bore launch in a MY14 and it's incredible. Not as noisy as you would expect but the punch in the back is amazing.

I suspect, without any real evidence of my own to present and only going on the hearsay of others, it'll be trifle more spunky than my civic rofl

mpg with a vehicle like this is a bit of a moot point. I think 20 mpg for your 500-odd bhp is pretty darn good. My civic makes 110 bhp (under perfect conditions at the crank) and only has twice the fuel economy.

I'd swap half the mpg for 5 times the power!

I'm going to call for a parrot here and suggest this question was about the lunatic on track in the "how not to drive" vid.

Wait, are those brightly coloured feathers on the ground there?

You may have a point.

But I wasn't lying about the stunt sheep.

Like the Viper, it surprises me that these are so uncommon compared to corvettes, high hp mustangs, Camaros, challengers, and the high hp bmw's, audis, and Mercedes.

Such a ridiculously impressive car. Yet, to my completely inexperienced mind, also a completely unappealing one.

I'm glad it exists and from what I've read I'm in a certain amount of awe of its abilities, but I have absolutely no wish to even try driving one.

My point is, Nissan wouldn't need all the ludicrous programming or anything like that if they made it lighter. 1.7 tonnes is obscene.

Personally I'd rather own something that actually allowed me to develop some skill instead of being able to drive it around a track with one finger on the wheel. That's what driving is about, not actually going faster than everyone else. you only need to go faster than everyone else if you're actually racing. Otherwise you need something that will make YOU better, not just make it all too easy. IMO of course.

Better tell all the Nissan engineers they're doing it all wrong then. Who knows, they might employ you. You know, this 1.7 tonne car which is just as, if not faster cornering than the LIGHTER 458 italia...

How can any car that tramlines and follows road contours be fun to drive and referred to as having good handling?
