Forgive me PH for I have sinned. It has been several weeks since my last confession.

I saw an Infiniti Q50 on the motorway yesterday, and I really liked it.

I've now mulled over the cost of importing one from Japan. (Not worth it, by the way! But UK ones are relatively cheap.)
Say one Alphather and three Hail Miuras.
And a Rollsary

I really want a Corsa B in CDX spec.

I prefer automatics to manuals, and I can't think of a time where I haven't.

I really like my X-Type Jag, even though it's a slow thirsty diesel.

I laughed hehe

It also got me thinking...
Hail Miura, full of pace
Good God is with you....

after that I'm really struggling.

Blessed art thou in thou movement
And plessed is the fruitiness of thine exhaust
Holy Miura chariot of God
play with us sinners
Now and at the hour of our encounter with a bulldozer, amen

Maybe

I really quite like my SUV.

Even more guiltily, I'd love to bomb about the countryside in a proper RR TDV8.

I'm the same and while I find them incredibly unexciting/boring to drive...there is something I really enjoy about the higher driving position and the lovely laid back feel to them to cover miles in.

My personal motoring guilty secret is having a tommy tank while driving, using cruise control through a speed camera motorway zone, the resulting finishing jism occasionally makes me hit the accelerator and break the speed limit for a brief few seconds.

It makes for a very tense and exciting drive.

Must admit I find mine quite exciting to drive, although I went from an Octavia (1.6 tdi) to an X3 30d, so I suppose that's to be expected! Yes, I quite like the higher driving position (as do the children).
Think I need to have a drive in something a bit more fun before it's too late.

Best mile muncher I've driven was a hired E220d. Bit dull, but super relaxed, quiet and really economical.

Yes and the BMW SUV's do drive really well I agree. I had a X5 4.8iS and I did like that it was on the more sporty side to drive.

The Mercedes GLC350d I have now is typically dull(but relaxing) to drive and Mercedes do that very well though I think.

The 30d is a cracking engine that you have in your X3 I reckon. thumbup

Yeah they do have a knack for making relaxing cars. That 9 speed gearbox is great on the motorway (1500rpm at 80). I found the E class behaved a bit oddly once, I thought it was the gearbox being a bit naff - turns out I'd hit the speed limiter (set by me) without noticing. If I did much driving (and had the money), it'd be on my list.

That engine is amazing - makes me smile every time I drive it biggrin

I have a secret love for the Hummer H2, despite the assumptions about the driver that go with it!

Very interested to see the unveiling of the electric version in May.

I'm with you on this. You are not alone. The only reason I don't have one is my wife tells me they are for old men, and I don't 'need' a S Type R as I have a Rangey Sport S/c.

Otherwise....
We have an a type diesel that just refuses to die. 170,000+ miles on the clock, still starts on the button, returns good mileage and never breaks down. It’s still an effortless way to cover miles and is a surprisingly decent steer on a nice B road.

It costs more to tax than its worth now, but I can’t get rid of it - it would be like shooting a faithful old dog in the face just because you don’t want to continue buying pedigree chum.

Hell, it only had the original battery replaced last year after something like 15 years of never missing a beat, so they definitely have a lot to recommend them.

Have to say, Rangies are wonderful things and tend to spoil you.

Citroen launched these Ami 100% Electric cars yesterday.... I can kind of see the sense in having one, though I doubt I'll fit in one..
