Is it complicated exporting a classic car from Brazil?

A few people have said it is. A guy I know is buying a Karmann Ghia TC like the one I posted the other day from a dealer and he's helping with both. $1000 for a 40' container, so not too expensive either.

Well regarded aren't they Mike?

I'm half on the lookout for another track car following a fall on my bike and this could be a bit of fun, but there is probably a lack of nice bits for them out there.

Not on your own, trust me!

Woody, I'm thinking slammed and gas burners or Fuchs. I've a friend with a massive wheel collection so we can play around and see what suits it.

I'm sure this won't garner much appreciation here but I think it is rather charming;

A couple of detail changes and this will be fantastic;

Oof, love both of these.

I've had 2 Mini 1000s and a 1275GT so am a big fan although can't see myself owning one again after experiencing "modernish" older cars (MK2 GTI & E36 318is).

Excellent!

I reckon fully polished Teledials or some Cosmics could work too.

Didn't expect 'my' Mini traveller to be quite so popular.

It looks tidy and lacking in rust. Always a bit wary of a car that has done very few miles since a big engoine rebuild (and I suspect quite a few years) and what happened to a strong motor to need such work though.

Have you seen this one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-MERCEDES-E280-AUTO-...

Yeah must admit I had a similar thought but as the blue one is only a few miles from me it grabbed my attention... Must admit that E280 looks great shame it's so far away..!!

It's a private plate apparently.

Wrong engine, worst colour, overpriced. IMHO

A more desirable full resprayed 200 sold on the bay for £900 recently

What is wrong with that engine? Looks quite tidy to me but I'm not sure I would want to part with £1400 for it.

I saw the nice looking 200 on ebay - that was very cheap given the full job done on it. However I don't think the one above is bad. The 230 engine seems to be generally liked, and personally I like the colour. It's only £1,495!

That one on EBay was well underpriced-whoever got that got a bargain. W124 prices are all over the place-some are sub £1000 and others £8000.

I don't think there is a 'wrong' engine-personally I didn't want a 6 cylinder or leather car.

I think it's a good example of the kind of car that you shouldn't sell on ebay - for someone who didn't need a 6 cylinder but wanted an estate to have had that level of work done would be worth far more. But the market for old cars like that is small - if no-one spots your auction then you end up with a really low price, as seems to have happened here.

BMW 525 ix

Looks a good price for a rare car! But i'm not up on my BMW's so feel free to tell me otherwise.
Sort of tempting, until you find out that the ix used, effectively, unique front suspension thanks to the 4wd (although somewhat based on the E36, apparently). Good luck finding spares... !
