What's the point of wasting ad money putting a £300 quid car up at that price?

Surely searching "Mercedes 190" on ebay would show you that it is not a £300 car

I love the last part of the advert:

'WHEELS HAVE BEEN FRESHLY REFURBISHED JUST TO FINISH THIS CAR OFF A TRUE INVESTMENT AS THESE CARS ARE REALLY STARTING TO GO UP IN VALUE £3995 NOW REDUCED TO £3450'

hehe

it's a 944 with stiffer suspension! smile I could have had a really nice one a few years back. I thought 15k was overpriced then when a mint 944 turbo could be had for 8k. never would I pay 70k for one ( infact, I doubt anyone with more than 1 brain cell will pay 70k for that ).

Interesting motor, quite the spec for an '89 carb car.

I'm not trying to get picky over the seller's spelling or grammar here, but I genuinely have no idea what a "snitser stab leister bar fitted under bonnet" refers to.
I've heard of Schnitzer as a tuning firm, so maybe he means them, but what a stab leicester bar is confused

I will go with stabiliser bar, AKA strut brace? There is one in the pics, too.

A few years ago the 190s like this would be £300 - £1500, then they all got exported/stripped for parts/rusted away so there aren't many left!! Plus people think its a "classic" now so lets ramp the price up!

Its a bit tatty, but there arent many for sale, although I doubt there are many that want one either!

Actually having had a quick look on Ebay it is a bit overpriced, this would be my choice: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-G-MERCEDES-190E-2-6...

Trouble with mercs of that era is they can look great in photos, but less so in person , so its always hard to judge an ad without seeing a car

The oldest 190E are 30 odd years old now and they have quite a following from both the classic scene and the bagged/stanced guys

Ah yes, the joy of the random autocorrect strikes again...

Very glad he fitted it under the bonnet, as on top of the bonnet just wouldn't have been as effective

Saw that last night but couldn't find this thread, give it 10 years and we may be made to look a bit silly. Or someone will have a very expensive, albeit very nice clio
