No expert on these, but shouldn't this be more like 2k - especially without an engine rebuild?
2008 MAZDA RX-8 2.6 R3 4D 231 BHP
£6,495.00

It's the desirable one - it's not THAT old and looks immaculate - the 2k ones are still a little ropey and 5-6 years older - engine is in the 'zone of uncertainty - but if it is looked after properly it should have more in it. Mine made it all the way to 120,000 or so before its rebuild. 2008 MAZDA RX-8 2.6 R3 4D 231 BHP

It's maybe a little steamy - but not outrageously.

The more I read about these, the less deserved their reputations begin to sound. Still, road tax on a later car is a serious wedge and imagine you'd be losing serious money when the time came to sell if you'd put many more miles on it. It's maybe a little steamy - but not outrageously.

Strikes me as a lot for a 9 year old Mazda...It's maybe a little steamy - but not outrageously.

And then dumps all it's coolant 100 yards up the road, the engine overheats and lunches itself and he says 'not my problem bruv'?(I appreciate something like this would be collected by low loader)
anyone post this back in august.

The answer to this one never changes and never has. Anything is worth anything if a buyer is happy to pay it. Is a small and tatty house in a noisy road in Camden Town with no garage or parking space (actual example i know of), worth £685,000? Well it sold for that. My house is twice the size, with triple garage and parking for 4/5 more cars in a tranquil area where the noisiest thing is the local cows and sheep. But someone preferred the above at twice what mine's worth. Is a CSL worth £70,000? In both cases, of course they aren't if judged by what most of us see as value for money. I had a Sierra Cosworth 500 way back when and the actual car sold for £55,000 recently. Bloody awful and slow car to actually drive compared with what you can get today and cars are for driving in my book, not locking up and hoping they rise in value. Sierra Cosworth 500 or an almost new BMW M4? DOH! Or perhaps a mint Cayman 2.7 and a Range Rover for the winter? Escort Cosworths are overpriced also. Loads of cars are, but whilst people buy them, it's c'est la vie. Their look out if they want to pay crazy prices simply because there are only 197 left.
