Holy moly...I expected six figures but not that deep into it!

Guess the age old “find another” applies!
Lovely as it is (the term beautiful is subjective)... but thats a waste to have only done a few hundred mile.
To me, that is a pointless purchase. You can't drive it else you destroy the "value", it's not factory fresh either and it's not really a looker in the sense of parking it in your front room and staring at it all day.

All the pretentious wk from the seller doesn't help either.
But... pretentious w5nk sells cars to the nerdy goofy types.
This type of chancer infests the classic car world with their bullst sales patter knowing they'll reel one in who'll pay way over the odds.
Just keeping the old stty oil and filter, cambelt and pump ect is what the geeky ones like.
They can show case it all and put it in a wall display....worth another £5k with all the old service parts...

No way can that be a serious ad ?
There's all sorts of absolute chancers on Car and Classic with massively delusional views on the value of the slowly decaying tat they've littered their drive with.

C&C used to be a worthy place to buy and sell for proper enthusiasts, sadly the past few years have seen it decline to comical levels now.
The thing that gets me is how easy you can tell from the photos it is an absolute stbox. I guess there must be many clueless buyers out there. Talking of the tatty masquerading as the mint...

Even the MoT history makes it pretty clear it’s been round the clock at least once.

It does make me realise how I've missed smoked lenses. Lexus lights seemed to replace them before everyone dropped the gimmick and later reignited it with LED's.

Good find.
Mot expired 8 years ago with rust, sticky brakes, worn ball joints ect, mileage all over the place, 100k+ mile drivers carpet and full respray... all on an 18k mile car.

Yes, the MOT mileage history is odd. It goes between 117k and 17k more than once. Maybe it's actually a Delorean.

I noticed that too, however in the advert pictures the odometer only has 5 digits so a reading of 117k isn't possible. I think the 117k MOT mileage is a typo (albeit twice). Something very off about that car though.

Looking at the pictures as embeds on mobile and it appears pretty tidy. Significantly less so if you open them full size. Maybe they're hoping that the buyer sufficiently socially distances from it?

Given the wear and tear (see steering wheel top) I think the 17k mileage recorded on MoTs is just the tester doing a cut and paste.

Determining how many times the car has been ‘round the clock’ is a common issue with these and indeed many older cars with 5-digit odometers. I’ve had a few of these. I once bought a 924 that had done 118k, obviously displaying what looked like 18k. It took me a good 5 mins to explain to someone I knew why it hadn’t been clocked...

The dealer must be confident the mileage is the lower one as he's making the low mileage a selling point and it'll come back to bite him if not. If it was an MOT station error, surely the owner would have had it corrected at the time?

You’d like to think so.... I’m hoping for DeLorean on the V5 as you say. It’s almost the right colour isn’t it? :-)

I am sure that if you wanted it to be a Delorean this trader would oblige.... but more seriously he should be reported to trading standards - it must be obvious to a professional car dealer that this a 118k mile car. I have a well looked after 117k mile car and this looks very similar inside.

This joker seems to think a LHD Z3 Coupé is worth £75k.

Not the iconic Z3M Coupé which on a good day may make £25-30k, but a much lesser 2.8 litre model which is comparatively easy to buy on the continent.

I’d love to have a glass of whatever the seller has drunk please.

Confused mileage with price? it’s a bit more realistic now

Shocking. You can bet there is zero service history to back it up...

A car like this can sometimes attract a Porsche devotee. It does seem a bit special I must admit.

Very nice, maybe the best around, but £40k for a Mk1 Golf GTI? https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1241533.

Probably one day that will be the going rate, but not yet..
