I really don’t see the attraction.
It's all so confusing. On the one hand, adverts make a big song and dance over 'every option ticked', on the other, such as here, it's a selling bonus that everything's been 'deleted', even the glove box light.

And is it only me who would never buy a car from an advertiser who starts the ad with " 'X' presents beautifully in Elephant Ear grey...'?
An unregistered JDM parts bin special at a hundred grand. You'd have to be bonkers.

Not particularly overpriced I would guess but more or less unsaleable

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202101087...

Gear knob and seat look very worn to me........ for 115K

A quick look on the mot history shows its been clocked at least once to the tune of 200K or more.

Someone did 102,000 miles in that in a year. 280 miles a day. Bloody hell.

Arguably a car you can't use, either. If the low mileage (ad says 'delivery miles' then later on 'almost delivery miles' - I would say that 300+ miles suggests the original owner had a very long drive that it needed to be driven up in order to 'deliver' it) is the reason for it being £100k, then as soon as you add to that, you are dumping all over your own investment.

Quite a few buses have sold for north of £100k, so it's not really overpriced compared to the market place for them.

They're horrible things to drive though!

I assume this is a typo or maybe a way of getting people to make an offer? Anyone want to pay £1,000,000 for an Evo VI?

You can go off road with this Toyota and off your head if you paid the asking price.

Mistype I would have guessed. Probably typed in the .00 and didn't hit the '.' hard enough.
I mean you wont find another one without importing from Aus yourself. Wonder what a 2010 is worth there?

Edit: Had a look and they are like 50k+ in aus with 200k km. Worrks out at roughly 28k before shipping and import fees.

A promo car that toured car shows only. I think I'd rather wait for a filmed one and make my own in the meantime.

A Cool old Aerodeck. But £4K cool?

Probably about right, rare as hens teeth and classic 80's. Problem for this car is that its a poverty spec base model in a crap colour.
Unlike my lovely top spec beauty

Low mileage 2.0Si cars are advertised in Japan for up to £20K !!!!!!!! Now that's overpriced.

Just an attention grabber. Think I saw that for a figure a while back, can’t remember how much though but possibly around £60-70k

Only 5 for sale on autotrader.co.uk but 10.9k seems high for a 130i.
You could get a higher mileage but newer m135i for not much more.

Don’t see what the big deal is with these, I haven’t driven one so obviously I could be talking out of my arse but in terms of the recipe, 265 bhp 3.0 straight 6...yes..RWD...yes...small and short wheelbase...yes....hydraulic steering...yes....16 years old BMW non M BMW for 6-10k...massive no!

After nearly 5 years of driving nearly new/new cars headache free with a warranty and all the mod cons, I don’t see old beemers the same way as I used to unless it’s an E46 M3 or something special but a 1 series with a large engine which happen to be mostly poverty specs, crashy rides and hardly any space, it doesn’t make sense to me! Even 5k is a lot, I remember manual E36 330ci’s being 2-4k and E46 M3’s being 6-8k back in 2011!

16 year old 130i? Sorry, it’s a no for me, even at half the price of the one in that advert

Edit - not saying it’s a bad car, it’s probably a good car but i think they’re massively overpriced considering how much E46 330i/Ci’s went for when they were 10 years old. Even if this 130i was Mohammed im ard Bruce lee, I’m not sure how much early M135i’s are but I’d much rather pay a bit extra for one of those

I paid that for a 6 year old Z4 Coupe 3.0si 8 years ago with the same mileage. Are they that sought after?

they have a mythical status, and considering how st the cars look it is weird really, S6 manual, there are better examples out there.

Here we go, £50,000 starting price for a modified Mitsubishi GTO!

Not even a mention of mileage (not that it matters at this price)

They must be suffering from lockdown mania
I wouldn't even have one for free, complete guff.

My word. The prices people ask for stuff on these ads , make me wonder if I’m out of touch with how little you get for your pound now or is everyone rich all of a sudden to not care about the monthlies. This thread is a sure fire way to feel broke.

100,000 miles in a year, then 150k in reverse!
