20k for an old Cavalier - that's hilarious
When I read your comment, I was expecting it to be mint clean GSI or maybe a Turbo...
Agreed, and even then 20k......well
In fairness he does appear to be throwing in a pushbike, a hat and an 07-plate Vectra with it, according to the pics anyway!

£20k?

Seller is delusional and a buyer would need sectioned.

The Daewoo MOT history is remarkable, it's clearly been in use every year but travelled so little distances, such a clean history as well.

Test centre can't be more than half a mile away from the owners house.

Very bizarre. The cost per mile over those years must be horrendous.

Over £100 per mile some years.

£1200 for a f'ecked 3-series: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202207037...

I'd find it hard to pay more than £200 for that and I don't believe the mileage with the state of the drivers seat. I know BMWs have self-destructing seat bolsters but at that sort of mileage I'd only expect wear... if it were genuine.

'Interior is immaculate'

Why do they say that when quite clearly it isn't, and they've even provided picture evidence to prove that their claim is wrong?

When you see some of the very questionable motors for sale within that sort of budget, you can understand why the dull and old but immaculate Daewoo could be a sensible choice.

Not so much overpriced as it's an auction estimate so the market will decide, but seriously punchy expectation - immaculate condition but celeb ownership seems to have inflated the price x 6. Don't think there is an accidental extra zero as a decent standard car would be more than $45k. I assume there's 20kg of Columbian in the boot to soften the blow of the purchase price...

I love the E39, but I honestly couldn't buy an M5 with the standard interior, the seats are horrific to look at, even in black/black, would have to be heritage or comfort seats

Indeed, I’d say the extra for that for what looks to be a much nicer car would be worth it.

You could get a clean Turbo for less than that 10 years ago.

Came across a whopper today. How about a private sale 2010 XC90 D5? Looks a nice one, in fairness. A one owner car with a full history and only 75,000 miles. Being advertised on the local Faceache marketplace at a whopping £15,500!

I am looking at these at the moment, so I have dropped the seller a message in case it's a typo, but no he's serious. I've said, quite seriously, that I'm prepared to come today, do a deal, transfer the funds and drive it away if it's as good as he says it is, but I'd be looking to start the negotiation from about half where he is now which, if he'd care to look at the smorgasbord of others on there of the same year between £4,500 and £7,500 (the latter being both a lower mileage and better spec example than this one), is much more realistic for all concerned.

He's not having any of it.

There's optimism and chancing your arm, and there's being completely removed from reality.
