Will that be one of those dodgy V5 things Liquid Knight (what happened to him?) used to go on about? I think people did it to buy a new identity for a stolen car.

The car looks like it’s only good for scrap, you’d have to be bloody skilled to get that on the road.

This is punchy at £4k, big gap in the history and to quote "THE CAR HAS A PANORAMIC ROOF THAT SADLY DOES NOT OPEN"....

I guess it is low mileage, and the A2 is meant to be some sort of design icon... Not sure I see it myself.

I have heard a few people tip these as future classics to be fair. No, I don't see the appeal either but there you go.

I don't know if it's just clever framing of the pictures but that Merc's interior looks in staggering condition for that mileage.
It does look fantastic... None of the buttons worn even...
I’m thinking it’s had some sort of restoration. It’s says chassis has been renovated and other parts replaced.
Although oddly, that close up of the steering column shows it's very dusty and the engine bay hasn't been cleaned either. A few hours cleaning and it would present much better.

Dealers chancing their arm with pre-reg listings £10k above OTR price, due to the demand and low supply.

Hmmm.
"Hedge row look"
No idea how anyone would ever restore that since literally NOTHING is salvageable. Ok maybe the wheels, but even then...

The only thing I could rescue was the VIN plate.... wink

Would Suzuki be happy about this?

From what I've read, they're aware of it, publicly disapprove, but aren't doing anything about it. Blatant milking of customers by the dealers involved.

Personally, I think they’re overpriced at the RRP to start with.

There own offerings are better value, the Ignis or Vitara. It is just the looks I guess, but 30k is serious money.

At £15k they'd have been good value. £20k was a push, but they're in a market segment with no competition. £30k is just ridiculous.

Crazy to think I could probably sell my 2 year old one today for more than it cost me new.

As a used car, can Suzuki UK do anything about it?

Why would they want to?
I'd imagine they are quite happy that one of there models has achieved the rare automotive nirvana of being an appreciating asset, you wouldn't expect Porsche MD's to sell GT2RS's at below list because they are 'used'. wink

Someone will come along in a minute to tell me this is fine tongue out

£13k for a 21 year old Audi S3.

(It's a lovely car, don't get me wrong. But would you?)

lol-it does seem about right. £8.5k for a less desirable spec and 115k miles vs 13k for a 53k mile cherished example in a very nice spec. It's clear this car has been very well maintained.

Lovely car but price just seems silly to me. Always preferred the Leon 225 in every way especially in the way they drive, shame people are asking stupid money for those too

I could possibly appreciate say, an MK4 R32 with that mileage being up for something like that. But there's literally one for sale with 42,000 on eBay and it's 4 grand cheaper.

It's a lovely example, but it's hugely overpriced.

Smallest engine and one of the least desirable colours!
