The militant cyclist* in Guildford over the weekend, who chose to cycle down the inside of a slow moving, indicating car, then proceed to bang on the back window of said car before angrily remonstrating with the female driver. Me, being me, chimed in and pointed out that 1) cycling down the inside of a car that's indicating left and 2) taking the moral high ground on road safety, whilst wearing all grey and no helmet on a pretty dismal day, probably aren't the cleverest of ideas. And that 3) berating a women with a child in the car over his mistake didn't make him a martyr, it made him a bit of a tit. His educated response was 'I don't see what not having a helmet on has to do with it', before calling me a tt and peddling off pretty quickly...

(* Even though it's blindingly obvious to me, there'll be someone who takes offence, so can I just point out that I am not clumping all cyclists under the same umbrella; this one just happened to be a colossal anus)

Not sure who was the biggest knob: The man who thought it was OK to go through and turn right at a red traffic light following a funeral cortege - when a police car was right next to him rolleyes or the policeman who then flicked on his blues and twos, turned right and pulled the man over and blocked the whole road and junction at the same time shoot rather then pulling him over further down the road where it wouldn't have caused an obstruction.

It didn't help that the est of the cortege, including the hearse had seen that one of the followers had been pulled so all stopped a few yards further on causing even more of an obstruction banghead

Whichever waste of oxygen decided that it would be a good idea to waste £130,000,000 on closing the M3 for 15 miles randomly throughout week nights, then imposing a blanket 50mph average speed zone for the said 15 miles throughout daytime, regardless of whether there is a work force present and contributing to the completion of works, for three years. Whoever that person is, in my books is a knob.

Probably a very nervous flyer. They do react in aggresive ways sometimes, as observed by myself when BA cabin crew. Or altenatively, she might be a 'not very nice person'.
Based on the tans her and her husband had, I'd suggest she was certainly a frequent flyer, so probably the latter...her husband too was sat scrolling through Facebook as we were about to take off, despite repeated instruction from the captain to switch to flight mode. I think they were just ignorant tts to be honest.

fking woman sat in my row on the flight I was just on. Daft cow moaned to the cabin crew that the price of the food was ridiculous as if they had any fking say in it. It's a plane not fking Lidl what was she expecting?! Then when we were about to land she got in a huff because she had to put her bag in the overhead storage (we were in the emergency exit row), and put on a sour face when they had to turn the cabin lights off, so she had to complete the arduous task of pushing the fking reading light switch above her head.

Exactly the type of "I want to speak to the manager" that I fking despise.

Face like Dot Cotton licking ps off a nettle too.
wow she sounds like a real . Budget flights are not exactly fun, but FFS did she not see everyone else in the same situation? Was she not vaguely pleased about travelling to wherever he was travelling to? Ultimately flying somewhere is entirely an elective activity. Presumably she also chose to sit in a legroom row too, and paid for it.

I think she was so self absorbed she had no consideration for anyone else, even her husband...

To be fair we were flying back from Gran Canaria so there's bound to be a bit of post holiday blues but regardless, s will be s.

As I picture this in my head and fill in the gaps, I feel sorry for the husband in a way. He probably doesn't agree with her behaviour, but has become a victim of "yes dear". He's given up!! He probably fantasises about boshing her over the head but would never actually do it. They probably only talk to each other a handful of times during their week in elevenerife... and i bet she takes food with her in her suitcase to avoid the 'foreign muck'.

Based on my limited encounter with them that sounds about right!

The individual in the yellow RS2000 Mark II who thought it acceptable to do a few doughnuts in the middle of a residential street today. Nice work mate, you must be so proud.

Well, to be fair, they're pretty well travelled if they're familiar with Lamidanda in Nepal! biggrin

The dumb bh aggressively tailgating me down a 30 mph residential street this morning.

So close that her rear screen wiper being constantly on in perfectly dry weather was annoying me. She was also so close that despite clearly wanting to overtake, she couldn't see past my car to plan one.

I was on the electronic limiter at exactly 30mph, and slowed down extra early, and far more gradually than I would have normally done, to turn left into a shop car park, which sent her absolutely apoplectic. Here's a clue, dumb bh. Slow the fk down (she must have arrived on my tail at more than 50 mph), and either overtake if you want to, or follow at a respectful distance. Then I wouldn't NEED to slow so gradually, and so early to mitigate against the high likelihood of you shunting me straight on while I try to turn left.

A very distinctive battered old Fiesta too. Not difficult to spot again. Might be fun next time if I knock the limiter down to 25 mph and take my sweet-arsed time at junctions.

Plus, who the juddering fk is so crap at driving that they fail to notice the rear screen wiper waving frantically at them in their mirror? Seriously,it was incredibly annoying and distracting for me in the car ahead. I swear I even reached instinctively for my wiper controls at one point and tried to turn the damned thing off myself!!!

This in itself annoys me beyond reason. Whenever I'm behind a car with the rear wiper going I realise how infrequently, if at all, they must be using their mirror.

And whilst we're on the subject, people who drive around with their door mirrors folded. I often wonder how many miles they've driven before I saw them.

A quick glance from the driver would highlight the problem, easily rectified at the touch of a button (or, at a push, with your hand out of the window!)

But sadly, no quick glance came.

I live in Birmingham and could therefore fill up the thread with tales of "interesting" driving. I saw one yesterday that was completely new to me though... At crossroads with traffic lights, 2 lanes - left + straight on and right. I was in the left hand lane, about 5 cars from the front. Impatient muppet drives past the queue, goes through the red light, pulls in front of the first car and stops. He then waits until the lights go green and then goes straight on but fairly slowly... You'd think if you were going to do something so nobbish, you'd at least make a quick getaway wouldn't you? confused
