fkers that try stealing bits off your car, or if that wasn't their reasoning, those that just want to undertake some random moronic damage instead banghead

At some point last night, someone had the intention of either stealing the headlights off my 205 GTI, or just wanted to cause some damage to the car. I assume they either gave up, or were disturbed by someone / something, as the passenger side headlight had suffered one broken mounting bracket and was quite loose when I went to the car this morning as they'd clearly tried to pull / lever it out, but thankfully they'd not managed to get it out completely (as the headlight sits quite tight to the front grille).

As a result I spent the late morning / early afternoon fixing the passenger headlught mounting bracket before refitting it.

I guess it could have been worse. Part of me is just hoping it was some random moron doing damage rather than theft as otherwise I'd have expected parts like the red insert trims to have disappeared. Still I guess now the 205 is catching up with the similar era Ford RS / Golf GTI's, etc, this sort of thing isn't going to be uncommon if someone really wants to help themselves to rare parts that fetch a premium frown

biker overtaking slower traffic today. Was doing the full 'hanging his arse off the side' moves as if he was knee down cornering... except he wasn't going fast enough to be anything other than completely vertical. It would have been a youtube hit, had someone filmed it. Complete .

Ah, motorcyclists!

Twice in two days now I have been overtaken by the same moron well in excess of the 50mph speed limit on the same road.

At least today both wheels were on the ground, and speed was "just ridiculous" rather than yesterday's "completely insane, considering the fact that the front wheel was in the air".

Yeah but wheelies are cool. I always smile when I see someone on a big bike pop the front wheel up and roar off down the road. Not sensible but still cool.

Me, for going a bit too fast this morning. Blue flashing lights on the other side of the dual carriage who was dealing with another driver going a bit too fast. Karma has given me warning, lesson learned.

The knuckle dragger in the van next to me as I was overtaking him into Hartlepool, turns out he wanted to be in the right hand lane. I've no problem with that but I think he expected me to be psychic and just know he wanted to be there as at no point did he bother using his indicators, had he used them I'd have been more than happy to back right off and let him in.

The the twunt in the white van this morning, just before sunrise, slightly misty, no lights.

Several people flashing him, Captain Oblivious at the wheel.

Keeping a normal 2 second gap behind, road opens up to to a dual 50mph stretch, nothing in front of him, I follow for a bit at 30mph, and go for a pass.
He then pulls into the middle of the lanes, straddling the white line and starts weaving about.

Flash lights, nothing. Beep and he jinks back into the left lane, almost dropping his mobile out of his open window.

I shout "need some lights on" and receive a does of verbals as he has now dropped his phone on the floor in all the excitement.

Sigh....

The woman I followed through a village today. It has close on 30 speed humps. The kind that can be easily straddled by most cars.
Not this lady. She braked for each one and proceeded to drive up and over each one. Unbelievable!

The mini cab driver beeping and flashing his lights behind my mums car because she was sat at a red light.

The red light being around some road works but just because he's too impatient to wait at the red light don't hassle the driver in front.

I'm pretty sure you have to adhere to traffic light signals, temporary or otherwise.
