895kg dry!
Has anyone independently weighed one?

There are rumors that with fluids but no driver it's more like 1050kg.
A European mag tested it alongside a Lotus Elise

Claimed weight for test 4C car was 920kg - Actual weight 1021 kg
The Elise was claimed 905kg - actual 931 kg

ETA - US cars are about 50kg heavier because of extra tub stiffening and airbags according to C&D instrumented test ( although their test car weighed 1117kg )

Autocar have finally got their hands on a 4C test car - albeit the Spyder.

Actual as tested weight - 1080kg ( the coupe is supposed to be 45kg lighter according to Alfa )

Claimed weight was 940kg

Isn't the 940kg meant to be the dry weight? 1080kg for an optioned-up press car full of fluids doesn't sound a million miles away from the claimed weight.

40-litre tank - if half full - 15kg of fuel ( 10kg ooolant, 6/7kg of oil, 2 kg hydraulic fluid ? )

40kg fluids?

Options on test car
Painted calipers
Yellow Paint
Dark finish paint alloys
Leather seats
Battery charge holder

It's a little annoying that Alfa launched the car prematurely before fine tuning the geometry. I tested a 2015 and 2016 car and both did not tramline. However the steering did feel a little light and vague on centre but in saying that, there is still more feedback than 95% of modern cars and much better than Porsches electric rack. If you wish to improve the feedback then Alfa works can sell you shims for £300 to increase the castor to settings similar to what Lotus run.

I just bought a 4C on the basis that is a flawed car, which can be vastly improved by minor tweaks to create an epic car.

If you listen to all the motoring journalists then you will end up with a Porsche. If you go with your heart and test all the sports cars, you will end up with something else. The Porsche is a comfortable and talented car but drives like any other modern car. Boring.
