The guy who owns that M5 has some fleet of cars, all on good/dodgy/cr4ppy plates,

This little nugget is what you get shopping at Morrison’s!

Got to admire the ‘Gucci’ badge too.

Found on social media, not my pic.
I can just picture it.....owner fitted his new plates, then stood back to admire his handy work and thinks..... yeh they look great.
That is a proper crappy plate, not some of the banal examples that usually get posted! I wonder how they get away with it, ANPR won't be able to read that?
Actually, ANPR could probably read that. None of the letters are butchered to look like something else and it can cope with terrible misspacing; the small letters between the F and Y are probably too small to pick up.

DVLA should practice what they preach on the website then regarding loss from mis-spacing then.

Maybe Mr Ram would like to attend......... With or without the family obviously! whistle

They won't though because taking action will lead to a drop in sales of plates that only mean anything - to the Platee at least - when displayed illegally. If the mouth-breathers tempted by illegal plates knew for sure one would be confiscated the moment it was spotted on the road even they'd be capable of working out it's not worth buying one.

The DVLA preaching the need for legality whilst knowingly allowing the independent and unregulated manufacture of showplates so the Platee can have anything formatted any way he fancies is allowed for no other reason than to facilitate sales of illegal plates and is blatantly hypocritical and disingenuous.

It'd be very easy to quickly remove illegal plates from circulation but the will to do so doesn't exist simply because there's money to be made. No doubt even more plates would be sold if the legal requirements were removed altogether but despite the governments rapacious greed for money that hasn't happened. So there must therefore be a need for the laws as they stand and that in turn makes the DVLAs complicity in allowing illegal plates by the back door even more reprehensible.
