P2 5OFY on a Range Rover.

Both the 2 & 5 had been treated to some rounding / reshaping in an attempt to make the plate look more like PZ SOFY (whatever that's meant to mean laugh )

With the obligatory explanation in small text at the bottom

Disappointed that someone who can afford a nice Bentley like that can't find a better plate to put on it..........
I've got the right number for that

Holy st! That's funny, amazing and tragically sad, all at the same time.

You must have to be a massively self important wker to think that anyone could actually give a st what your full name and date of birth is.

Does he know he shouldn't be sharing personal data like this.

Both seem to be legally spaced and it's also obvious what both those plates are spelling, without the addition of black caps, reshaped letters, etc, so how are they crappy?
I think they're clever... you know they're correctly spaced and not been "adjusted" and you can tell what the owner means too.
Not bad for an Optician. wink
Nope. nono Legal or not, personally I wouldn't demean myself by giving credibility to any Platees attempt at making words up with number plates.

Any 8 year old in any English remedial class will know you can't actually use numbers to spell words and therefore anybody trying to do so is only pretending you can. That's exactly the same risible pretention as passing off a fake Rolex as the real thing or pretending a spray shop tan is the result of two months in the Caribbean or some shoddy scrap of knock off designer clothing from Romford market is actually a high end fashion house original.

Anyone who thinks otherwise badly needs to have a quiet word with themselves. In the meantime everybody else can and will simply carry on P1551NG themselves laughing at such desperately pretentious and terminally illiterate Chav fkwitterey.

Good ones are just a bit of fun, and those are quite good as they go, not my scene but I think it would be a duller place if we didnt have any.

Nope, just pointing out the actual facts. You really can't spell anything with numbers - only an terminal idiot would believe you can let alone attempt to.

Anybody doing so has got to be either hilariously illiterate or so desperate to create an impression they've become completely overwhelmed by nothing more than their own pretentious attention-seeking aspirations which in turn has caused them to completely loose touch with reality.

If anybody's still not sure about that then ask any primary school kid what numbers and letters are for and what the difference is between the two. Once they've stopped giggling about how silly some grown ups are they'll probably become quite sympathetic and be happy to help out with the basics that your average 6 to 8 year old doesn't have any problem with.

Moaning about the vulgarity of private plates is fun. That's why the thread exists. Presumably you've read the title of the thread?

ETA you removed that quickly cossers.

But some genuinely do, the internet allows for it and to a degree wouldn't be half the fun if people didn't overreact and get carried away. I think most know exactly what they're doing and are just letting off steam. There are some complete pillocks though biggrin

Apologies all, back on topic..

You're reading it all wrong if you think it's the numberplate itself that gets on my tits - that's just a piece of plastic not really worthy of comment.

What does severely boil my piss tho' is the narcissistic attention seeking mindset that needs to fkuc about with numberplates. Here in the Essex Badlands at least illegal plates or ones that quite intentionally present a confusion between letters and numbers in attempt to spell something are a clear indication of a distinctive aggressive fkuc you self-centered mindset that influences everything the Platee does.

Yes, BO55 and B16 and KI55 and H1 2 I'm talking about you especially...

Time after time after time it'll be these same numberplate Cockends que jumping by driving on the pavement or blocking junctions and driveways or abusing parking concessions or jumping red lights or aggressively tailgating or updating their Facebook status at 90MPH or barging straight onto roundabouts or lane 3 hogging then swerving across lanes 2 and 1 to make an exit ramp forcing everybody else to hit the brakes.

Misrepresented plates have been a distinctive expression of aspiration to the vacuous Essex Chav or TOWIE lifestyle ever since the DVLA first started flogging them decades ago so it's nothing new, and that's long enough to form a reasoned opinion based on experience IMO.

So nope. No problem with numberplates in the other thread because Real Good ones are what they are and I'll maintain a robust definition of a Real Good one is that its completely honest about itself and would never be presented as anything it's not by misrepresentation of numbers or letters or illegality .

Of course you can use a number to form a word on a plate!

The letter O and the number O are interchangeable whether you like it or not, as is the letter i and the number 1 on 1rish plates.

As for the dentists plates, driveway or house more concerning is whether those cars are rented or not! hehe

I loathe mis-spaced and misrepresented plates. Dreadful things.

However, I do not think plates are chav if they happen to spell out a word. MAG 1C and COM 1C spring to mind. As does the classic pair of 2 BE and NOT 2B

I do make an exception for anything like BO55 though. Weapons grade knob indicator.
