You realise he owns the company right? The whole youtube and work thing is bound to overlap at some point, if people are viewing his channel why not get some free advertisement out of it? I'd do it.

Hurray, someone gets it. My twin brother, with Huracan in tow, is bound to feature on my channel. Happens that I co own LDNM with him. He was always going to feature.
Doesn't mean though that my brother is financially involved in my Youtube channel or has any other involvement, or LDNM does as a legal entity for that matter.
Stupidity on here never ceases to rile me.

You don't need a big money super car to make interesting and entertaining content though. Dan and his old E36 drift car and the Integra make for great viewing and a few laughs. I personally enjoy seeing the stuff with the Integra as it's a car I hadn't had any experience of. Maybe it's an age thing but displays of wealth, just for the sake of it, are more likely to make me move on to another video.
Interesting comment, you definitely don't need to but it makes it immensely easier to get started and draw in a crowd. It does amaze me that there aren't more people pushing for cars like a C63 S - there must be a huge audience for that kind of thing.

I'd put it down to age, the mass numbers come from <30s, and they will click just for a supercar in the thumbnail and title.
This also applies to watches. I have a Facebook page that I run in my spare time - It's not setting the world on fire yet, but 1000 likes in a few months isn't too bad! I enjoy highlighting watches that some people may have never seen before; everything from £8 to £18,000,000. However I'm already noticing that most people want to see super high-end pieces, with multiple tourbillons, encrusted with diamonds. Such pieces will receive more likes, comments and shares in comparison to a well-regarded £1000-2000 piece.

Still, I'll continue to post cheaper examples too. I'd like to think someone might buy a piece based on one of my posts. You never know! I'm also currently thinking of doing my first vlog, although it would be next year ... at either SIHH or Baselworld. Undecided!

Schmee/TGE - do you get 'bots' auto-liking videos? Not saying you do it but how do you know if its an actual person hitting view and not some programme or do bots not exist in youtube world?
In the earlier days that I was doing this it was something you'd notice but it was quite easy to distinguish. For example I remember a video once getting circa 50k views from some specific country and they were all 7 seconds viewing time so it stood out immediately.

However, this was >5 years ago and I've not seen anything since, and there's one very major reason for that. Given a false view would load an advert, that would in effect mean Google AdSense were ripping off a customer paying for that pre-roll advert. As a result they have worked extremely hard to ensure this doesn't happen or presumably YouTube/Google themselves would be liable.

I don't believe there is anything fraudulent in the YouTube world in the way that you have it with Instagram for example, or at least I haven't experienced it or heard talk of it.

Ah ok, so if a bot viewed it for 7 seconds then itd be classed as a view and so "you'd" get some money for it? If the bot developer changed it so the bot viewed it for 60 seconds would that count or doesnt it work like that?

The instagram fraud though, hmmmm i wonder if i can become an influencer and model now....

Does your brother know he had a hermit crab on his head or is that his/your/gym pet muscling in on the action?

I think the whole point is that Google have put fortunes into developing systems that outsmart anything bots can do, and at this time anything like repeated visits from IP addresses, or repetitive viewing traits get picked up and don't get counted.

To earn the money from it, the view would need to be verified, which is partly why the view counters run so far behind real time for the computers to confirm things behind the scenes.

Watched SOL's new video and I have to say Paul is all over the place and seems very confused.

Basically he's trying to sell his Huracan which will probably be at a loss so he can put an offer on a condo he found but yet he's back to talking about replacing the Huracan with another expensive car depending on his budget??? Makes absolutely no sense to me because why you would be talking replacement when you got yourself in a mess with the Huracan. It would make more sense to upgrade the M3 and run one car especially if you just purchased your first place.

It's not really surprising - this is the same guy who couldn't understand how the car could take 70l of fuel despite the engine only being 4.2l (R8 video).

I don't usually watch his stuff. But the impression i got was that he was a long way from buying a new car and instead was going to go through a string of short term loans (from a garage).

To be honest that probably makes sense. Borrow a new car every week and make a vid of it. No need to own outright

Just had a really interesting conversation with someone ‘in the know’ - they have it on good authority that TGE has already sold his Ferrari 812 Superfast for a £155 loss. It’s a rather complex agreemen through a third party, but he’s keeping the red baseball cap.

We’ll soon see if this is true through an unnecessarily complicated series of videos and live streams but so long as we keep watching that’s the most important thing.

On an unrelated side note, I now have the biggest muscles in my postcode thanks to LDN Muscle (you may not have heard of them) they do superb ready meals now.

This is entertaining yet cringeworthy at the same time, some serious brown nosing going on and its pretty revolting.

Ahh fair enough, its a shame they cant do that with the IG models/influencers.

Though dont all home pc's have the same IP addy or do bots not have one?

Do appear to have missed the point of his videos. Let me help - are they:
a) to gain views leading to ad revenues and income for Paul; or
b) to reflect real life thinking and financial ability?
wink

Welcome to social media.

The 'brown nosers' are the ones who get nasty when you don't want to be their friend too.

It's not easy being green.

What did you expect from a guy who complained on twitter that his insurance didn´t cancel his Audi A1 policy, which he didn´t notice for almost 1 year.
This guy has absolutely no business sense. I wouldn´t be surprised if he´d go down in the next year.

Haha - that thing is not being sold quickly. I have no orders after that, and don't see myself ever wanting anything else if it's better than the F12.

You're right on the LDNM Meals though - ruddy excellent.

I've just asked my local bar if I can be their influencer. Even offered to buy a selfie stick.

Not interested.

They have no idea what they are missing. Even bought tippex for my teeth to be like Archie.
