have to agree. I actually enjoy the way he goes round and highlights all the details on his cars, but for some reason he just winds me up.

Harry's Garage is much better!
Have you noticed that every car he 'reviews' is absolutely perfect in every way? scratchchin

I'd rather poke live wasps up my asshole using a sharp stick than watch schmees videos. I'm sure he's a nice guy in real life, but his cringe worthy videos have the same visual appeal as an outbreak of genital warts.

Tim (shmee) would be much improved if dropped all the superlatives: truly truly amazing, so so cool, really really stunning, absolutely astonishing, super super spectacular, etc.

The most annoying of the bunch is Lord Aleem. He won an Entrepreneur of the Year award, but no one could work out what he got it for. Amongst all the other things that don't add up in his vlogging world.

Its the "Supercar lifestyle" aspect I cant abide, I love all types of cars, I can raise as much enthusiasm about a manky old Talbot Sunbeam or Rover Sd1 Vitesses as a Mclaren 650s but for different reasons, I cant confine my appreciation to shiny, fast, new, expensive noisy things, if anything I find supercars a bit naff in reality.

You forgot awesome, awesome carbon fibre, awesome stitching in yellow over the standard red, matches the awesome door card
colour co ordinated inserts.

For shame I did watch the video of him collecting his FF, what did grate was the train journey down to Egham.
Rather than just start from a seated position " Hey guys on the train down to collect the FF, should be there in 15 minutes"

No we had the camera rolling boarding the train, then the pregnant pause at the door to first class.
Up to that point i had a pretty neutral opinion of the guy, after that, well sorry for being so socially inferior.

Have to agree, they are utter st. "Look how much money I have, look at my nice cars". None of them(shmee/SOL) could drive there finger up there arse! Go and do a track day in some of these cars and I may be interested.

Chris Harris on the other hand... He is great, genuine car enthusiast, loves driving and really gives them hell! Great driver too.

Whilst I agree with what you say the fact is that Shmee is driving round in an FF and a McL LT so must be doing something right

Not for me, but obviously ticks other boxes

As a 25 year old, you could argue that I'm the target market for these vloggers.

In all honesty, I have no interest in such videos. Credit where credit's due, Shmee etc have done very well in capturing the imaginations of other people, and if those vloggers are living a happy life, then all the best to them. I don't see a need to be jealous or unappreciative purely because someone's got the balls to go and film cars across Europe, in rain, snow, or shine, at all hours of the day.

With regards to my disinterest - I hope the vloggers understand my point - I'd much rather watch videos from the owners of the cars to know what they're like to live with. I'm very lucky in that I've worked hard to be able to have had a variety of fantastic cars at my early age, and I'd much rather the self-pride of knowing what I've had grace my driveway, as opposed to what I've seen driving past my house.

I've watched quite a lot of their videos (I'm 31) and even subscribed to Shmee150 once. But they are all very boring, there's so much other quality content on YouTube to kill my time with (XCAR, Petroliscious, AMMONYC, Smoking Tire, Chris Harris on Cars etc.) that I don't see how people actually find time to watch all of their socalled vlog videos.

You missed the new Porsche GT4 he's just bought to sit alongside the Ferrari and the McLaren.

Some of his videos are interesting

Ahh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed!
Watched a few videos because he has some nice cars, but I can only take a few minutes of him fawning over every single feature.
I'm very jealous, and I guess that few people would be critical of any part of their new toy, but it is just pretty grating after a while.

I watch his videos but there is always something about him that meant I didn't believe what he was saying (he is also not quite as easy to watch as Harris as we are clearly different types of people). However, he comes across rather genuine in the above video and it's difficult to disbelieve him. It doesn't even matter if he has been given a million or a hundred million or nothing, he is a petrolhead and therefor people should not be so negative towards him, and others.

He is 'putting himself out there' on camera, which I would not want to do and probably suffers enough negative criticism. I noticed the 675lt thread had a big keyboard hardman saying that Twitter and 675lt only brings up a certain 'lisp spesker', somewhat uncalled for and disappointing from a fellow petrolhead. I very much doubt the person would say that to his face 1 to 1 or with others around.

I suspect the market is more kids and teens than anything else. To me having a nice car is great if it's earned, on top of all the other household expenses. Using daddy's money, hocking yourself up whilst living at home or otherwise 'cheating' doesn't impress me, but children don't see the full picture.

I echo the comments about Shmee, cheesy, naff and generally irritating. I certainly don't aspire to his 'lifestyle'. I know he's on here and probably a nice guy but his style is camper than a field of scout tents. And as for Aleem... well the less said about him the better.

It does seem to be an extension of the talent free, look at me, celebrity scene we seem to have become used to. More's the pity.

I never said it wasn't, but the general lifestyle to me is boring and dull, IMO they all need to go and get laid, it comes across as a bit virgin teenage lads obsessed with flash cars.

Shmee angers me, i just can't watch him with his speech impediment and st fashion sense and smug attitude. He's not the kind of guy i'd ever want to spend time with so i can't get along with watching him talk st about supercars.

SOL, Seen Through Glass, Lord Aleem, Yiannimize... all more watchable but even then, only click on a vid of any of theirs should i be bored and it's something relevant to my interests.

Shmee would have to have filmed the first ever Bugatti Veyron backflip for me to click on a video of his.

I'm probably target market. The only vlogger I pay any attention to is RoyalJordanian, not a lot of talking BS in them, I find his videos quite relaxing to watch for some reason. The rest though, I don't feel like I have time to watch. I'm not great at passive consumption of stuff, it makes me fidgety.

I don't aspire to own a supercar. They're too much "look at me, look at me".

Much prefer normal cars.

I tried to watch a shmee and aleem video, but i just couldn't do it. Two minutes and I was done.

I've only seen some of the Shmee ones, but I quite enjoyed them, to be honest. Yes, there is the inevitable element of 'look how great my life is' with videos like he does, but as long as you can get past that, they can be okay. The one he did recently showing all the little details of his new 675LT was pretty cool (for a car geek), for instance.

Does he really fund all those cars with the money made from YouTube, though? I can't imagine he has an actual job, what with the number of videos he posts. hehe

All terribly vague and unclear re sources of income. Not really anyone's business (which is what he should have said), but it all sounds like BS to me. I think he's from money.

Driving a supercars around London is just about the naffest thing on Earth.
