Embrace it like Mr JWW does? Pull the other one! I like his presenting style and he comes across as a nice guy, but have you read this.

Yes a little disingenuous.

Not sure why he couldn't say something akin to " I play a role in a very successful family business".

As I have just edited above:

Nor do I see the relevance of this, and quite frankly I think the cheap shots in this thread are starting to cross the line. I'm more than happy to answer serious and grown-up questions if you have any.

My question about the shirt was legit. I simply asked in an amusing way (well I found it amusing) why you always wear one.

I have a new found respect for you after seeing your posts on here today smile

The first place I ever used the 'Shmee150' name for cars was on PistonHeads, posting pictures of the cars I spotted in the SSSR thread. It's a giant shame that the atmosphere seems to be ever deteriorating at the moment but I shall always participate in sensible discussion because of the connection to this place.

Regarding shirts; I worked in the city for a number of years after studying and before leaving my job to go full time Shmee150, so there's that background. Then there's just the image side of things but also the ability to be dressed correctly whatever environment I end up in and being comfortable. Sometimes I wear T-shirts during events like Gumball 3000 or Fuel Faction because it's more apt, but generally I prefer to be well dressed - that's just me.

That's sounds fair enough. Personally I wear whatever the hell I want and if people want to form an opinion of me based on what clothes I'm wearing then they probably aren't worth knowing!

But then I have that luxury I guess and you don't smile

Poor form to deride someone's clothing or Mrs IMO.

I've said my bit as against my concerns as to the slightly hoodwinked lifestyle patter, but cheap shots is too far. When I first joined PH we all used to meet up face to face quite often and so you would say in writing on here what you would say face to face in the pub and that is the rule I have lived by.
get real. Look at the nasty comments about women on the aintree thread or about diane abbot etc . I was told i would be amazed at tims GF . sorry . not amazed at all. nothing special ,nadda . matches him a treat though .
But you are talking directly to the person you are insulting. I might sneer at a woman's dress pictured at Aintree in the national press, I wouldn't walk up to her at the races and say, "you look hideous". We all can be judgmental on matters but an element of respect for one another tends to mean that we don't say such things face to face. The internet's anonymity has blurred this line. Back when it was more commonplace to just use this site as a mechanism to arrange meetings it maintained that element of respect.

That doesn't mean I agree with people, and equally I am not averse to telling people face to face when I think they are wrong, when they are being sycophantic, when they are obtuse etc, but I wouldn't tell someone face to face their partner was a moose or that I thought their dress sense was appalling.

Goodness, just vomited. Again.

Looks like I was wrong and yet another one to throw onto the pile - thanks for highlighting.

Perfect example of my original point though.

Ultimately who cares, none of them are hurting anyone from what I have seen, yes some mascarade as self-made when maybe they aren't but sure we all have better things to do than direct negative energy towards people we dont know/dont have to watch if we dont want to.

The forum is full of snide comments and insults . Get use to it . Many of us think he is a joke . Many think Nando's chicken is a joke , Many will think spending £25k on a s/h watch is a joke
Many here will be nasty about celebs and stuff . Rip the ass out of Council types . Tell me what's the difference ? Or do you work for Haymarket and you might want to protect any interest Tim might have in the future for advertising etc !
If you are going to read a forum get use to it not always been a bed or roses for you .
You're a strange, strange man. You have my pity. Can we get this bellend removed from this thread?
He's right about Nandos, well, Blandos as I like to call it.

Not watched much of your stuff and whilst mostly not my bag it has definitely improved over time. Good on you for trying to enter a civilised and measured conversation on here. Whether through luck or hard work or a combination of the two you have managed to do very well on YT and having a small channel myself I know how hard it is to get anywhere on that platform..
Having the money or not does not really matter, you have the cars and now a following so keep developing it!

I liked Tim's video of the David Brown Mini. Although I am not convinced by the rear lights and it does seem somewhat poor VFM.
Not a bad idea.

As a life long mini hater, I didn't like the car at all. Good craftsmanship mind, but why keep the horrible A series engine?

The green HootenDoobrenTootenFrooten thing though, looked epic fun to drive!

It's spelt 'crep'. I see how you may be confused with Krept, of Krept and Konan fame though, so I'll forgive you.

hey..thats life. You throw yourself into the public domain , get ready for the reality checks.
That's what I mean though, those reality checks must be really hard to deal with.

I mean, some bloke called brianashley doesn't like my cars or shirts? Oh st I've messed my whole life up.

Better sell all the cars and get down primark and sort myself out.

That's my thoughts too.

Reminds me of Ricky Gervais taking the mick out of the A-listers at the Golden Globes. I doubt the powerful, rich and famous stars were seriously affected by his jokes/opinions, it's part and parcel of being in the media spotlight.

Haters gonna hate, as they say.

Do A-listers even know how Ricky Gervais is?
