Completely unneighcessary.

I'll see myself out.

Yikes, this got unpleasant.

And in response to earlier jibes, maybe I'm never 100% about my job title & happily throw people off the scent because it's really of no relevance to anyone. I have a full time job, in the city, in London.
If I was a trader would I be wise to admit it in an enormous public online capacity? As it is I get 92830823408234 DM's a day asking me how 'to trade' - fuelled no doubt by the Instagram trading/scamming craze we seem to be seeing.

Anyway, who liked my last video? Prob the best production I've done but the views tanked, perhaps not many wanted to watch a 5th video on the 570s Spider. LOL
I've liked recent videos, particularly e.7 biceps/burgers/burnouts, liked that workout. More varied workouts in the channel could tie in the LDNM userbase as well as the usual content for petrolheads. That for me is the main distinction, compared to the other car vlogs.

I'm thinking of making some more videos if/when I get the time! Recently filmed some fairly decent videos (1-10m in past few years), but don't get time for that any more!

The article was simply vague PR for LDNM & tbh not even worth reading.
PR is usually paid for, yet you had no pre-approval? It reads like a paid-for article to me, promoting you and your business’.

Clearly I didn't write the article, angle it, or 'make' any claims whatsoever. Patience wearing thin. Stand by your box and prepare to get back in please. Really unneeded amount of aggro coming from you here.
As I said, it sounds angled to me. https://www.squaremile.com/ldn-muscle-tom-exton/
A PR agency is paid for by LDNM. Square Mile are not.
Publications often won't provide approval prior, esp if on tight turnaround. They create the angle to generate the clicks/reads.
PR 101 here. My percheron.

I have to confess I had to look up "Percheron" (that's a first for me on Pistonheads)

Thought it sounded a bit fishy but its not biggrin

Fascinating to watch the barely concealed jealousy displayed by so many posters on this thread!

Interesting to browse similar US websites, which are largely supportive and congratulatory of vloggers.

While the UK ones err toward aggression and envy...

While it's certainly a UK thing, I think it's magnified by the somewhat aging user base of PH frown

I wasn’t stating who got paid, just that it’s a bit of paid-for PR, which you seem to be admitting to.

Nah, I've got a low BS tolerance and I'm fed up of your st.

TGE, well explained, huge fan of the videos and like you said earlier the main reason I haven't watched the latest video is purely down to the amount released at the same time, on the same topic.

I personally think we are lucky with the choice of car reviewers and my god the professionalism of the video's is quite simply staggering, considering they do it for "free" for the viewer. Ok there might be endorsements or adverts, but that's just the way of the world at the moment and if that means they can do it full time, so be it.

Do I like the fact there are almost 5 or more identical video's of the same car on launch day, no, but I simply chose which ones to watch, given the presenter and their style that I like on a given day.

As I say we are very lucky with the amount of video's on YT, yes the content of wrapping, exhausts, selling, buying gets boring, but again they are free to the viewer and I chose which to watch or not.

Hats off to the like's of Shmee, STG, SOL, Seb, TGETV etc for doing what they love and earning money out of it if they can and churning out the content as much as they do, I can only imagine the keyboard work to go from raw video to the polished 1-20mins video uploaded to YT.

If you don't like don't watch, is there really a need to moan about it ? I still think we are very lucky with the choice and quality.

Keep the content coming.

YT Fanboi out......

"Admitting to", as though it's a secretive underworld I've just exposed myself as belonging to.
May surprise you, but ANY major brand will have a PR agency on their books, or their own PR department.
I assumed everyone knew this, or perhaps it hasn't filtered through to the equine world yet.

Your sort of embittered passive aggression is what puts most people off forums like this, me included.
May reign in my contributions going forward. Cba.

Don't let wky Mcwkface and the guy from a few pages back put you off. A great many of us appreciate you and Tim responding to questions on here, it's quite rare to get such honesty.

Just don't forget, it's school holidays. That explains a lot of the change in behaviour in here this week.

Indeed, all the vloggers seem to be asked over and over again in a rather accusing tone how they get their money / afford their cars etc etc. Most have answered these queries in some detail (I would just be telling them to F off), yet it still goes on and must by now be a long way past being a bit tired for said vloggers.

Just watch the content or don't and enjoy it for what it is, free (subject to advertising) personal opinions. We have access to an amazing amount of detail on new Supercar launches which simply wasn't available a few weeks ago.

I happen to quite like Schmee's content and some of mr JWW I'm not as keen on TGE (sorry), or SOL, etc, but I'm not going to start critisizing them, I just don't watch.

Well Archie Hamilton has obviously been reading this tread and has started to cash in on his racing background which is a good thing as you will see in his latest video.

He just needs to wind down the over excitable school boy delivery, stop repeating himself and he could be on to something if he could line up a few more manufactures and race teams
