A great piece of work, one that lets hope puts an end to the "why don't you use the car properly" comments.
You can´t really take those comments serious. Shmee has done over 15000km in his LT. I guess that´s double or even triple the average.
We like to joke about those comments; mine has been as far as the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro in one direction and to the Spanish Basque Country the other way, with everything in between. It's done laps of the Ring, multiple days at Spa, when the run in completed at 1,000km, by 1,001km it was already over 300km/h, and the number of events it has participated in across the continent would be impossible to count.

Now being pinned at Vmax on the Autobahn for a minute is a nice one to add to the list too!
I actually meant the redlining and 'full on' driving aspect, as opposed to doing lots of miles...
Has it all covered nicely now..

Wait until you see how much those coloured tyre written Pirellis are rofl
In classic Italian style, I'm pretty sure they still ship the tyres you purchased from the UK to Italy for painting, then back to the UK.

Why they don't start with the Italian stock I don't know.

Fun comment piece on (non-auto) vloggers in general by someone who it's fair to say isn't a fan.

Calls them 'Vain and inane', 'vanilla humans' and 'walking definitions of mediocrity' who are making their way into the mainstream.

More: "These young bucks – these webcam frontiersmen – are learning on the job with no one teaching them. The result is a poorly edited mess of ego and quirk."

And finally "Wealthy young morons feeding people a fantasy".

Interestingly that article is now over 3 years old, which actually pre-dates most of the car YouTubers even starting.

Didn't realise it was three years old. I think it raises some interesting points though, and it is about the the wider vlogosphere, not motoring. There does seem to be a lack of personality and panache in a lot of vlogging but I think applies to reality TV just as much.

There are exceptions of course. Owning a McLaren and driving it extensively across Europe, including taking it over 200mph on an autobahn, is a genuinely impressive achievement. Take a lot of financial investment, as well as time. It's the perfect blend of traditional automotive journalism and vlogging. I hope it gets the views and revenue it deserves.

It took a lot of preparation; location scouting, prepared the car with dealer, new tyres over inflated, all the camera side, and then up at 6am on a Sunday to do it!

Good fun though! smile
Fantastic video, a brilliant watch. The speed the road is eaten up is insane.

Apparently it's a bush according to the results of the latest VMAX200 event last Saturday, along with a BMW M6.

I hear whispers of this but was at vmax and didn't get to see anything. There was a rather nice purple metallic McLaren there is that supposed to be the one?

Apologies, me trying to be funny.

Here is the story for the M6, apparently was a similar fate for the 720S

i must be missing stuff, altho i dont do twitter, not seen anything about the bmw crash. there was a decent delay and someone mentioned a car going off on one of the return bends.
many years ago we were at brunters with Fast ford (or Redline) and a guy managed to bounce an oversteering original RS500 Labbatts touring car into the trees at the start of the runway!
