I keep seeing ex-RAC vans on ebay with 200k+ miles - good buys or would you avoid?
Pros:Probably been maintained well as part of a fleet
Cons:
Driven by a number of people, may have done some towing work (but likely short distances).
Both of mine I got off people who ran the van after the AA, so I was 3rd/4th owner in each case.
My first van I bought with 140k, no real issues until it got written off at 180k. The second one I got at 120ishk, cambelt went at 132k resulting in the need for a recon engine, still going well at 160k +
These were both VW T4s with the full fat (for UK)102 bhp TDI, I can't really speak for other van make/models.
