Nothing you'd approve of. None of them are remotely valuable, two of them have no power-steering and none have bluetooth.
They sound like fun, what are they? I'm not a car snob, I like loads of things that are worth practically nothing.

I get what you're saying, would I prefer a car without the pumped in sound? absolutely. Would I rather the rev-matching was completely switchable? of course. There are lots of other things I'd rather as well, such as a NA engine, and hydraulic steering, but I get that manufacturers don't make a car for just me, they make one for a huge number of people with different wants/needs (and in difficult regulatory framework), but within that spectrum, the M2 seems to be much more closely targeted to those of us who actually like to drive!

Don't get me wrong, there are lots of other cars that are better, but for me the M2 would be the daily, not the weekend toy. So having some luxuries are useful and I don't begrudge others for wanting them.
The M2 would be a nice daily and my modified Z4M would still be my weekend/sun/track toy and the more pure, more old school sports car!
I'm going to test drive a M2 and see if it the manual version is something for me… The M3/M4 was something I did not like on every aspect (noise, steering feel, engine response, power delivery, etc)… But the M2 sounds like something I might like. I also like my cars to be compact and nimble…an e46 3 series is as big as my daily car should ever be. A M2 is something about the size as an e46 M3 and that is absolutely perfect in my opinion smile

I hope turning off the fake sound through the speakers is something easy like pulling a fuse or cable…. I would also be nice if there is a software update to turn of the auto rev matching function in every driver mode (with the manual transmission)… This is going to annoy me, especially on public roads where it attracts to much attention and spoils the fun a bit. On the other hand; the Porsche GT4 also has this auto rev matching function and there was way less complaining about this...

This colour suits it in the flesh. Nice inside too.

ive had an M2 now for about 2 months and love it

its actually my first ever M car but i've driven a couple of m3s on track and owned plenty of other performance cars..- but felt they= M3/4s were a little too large and didnt feel that sharp compared to my GTR which was even larger but way more responsive- So the M2 was a bit of a punt- as I had not driven it of course and put my deposit down about a year back.

so its been nice to read so many great reviews, but now im about 1500 miles in In happy to say it is an awesome piece of kit- it is just the right size as a daily driver, very comfortable when you want it to be but a bloody good fun, when you want some...Im dying to take it on track you just know it will be a riot- The exhaust is a real bonus, making a lovely addictive sound- I ended up going for the DCT which was definitely head leading heart.. but I sit in traffic a lot where I live so my left leg struggles a bit.. and the DCT im already used to with the Nissan so , it wasn't such an issue.- I have the blue and its definitely a head turner and plenty of nice comments at petrol stations already.- On the road whether smooth or bumpy its been superb. Im not quite sure why evo found their car so bumpy on b roads, I simply have not had any issue, and does not slow up progress - Its also quicker than I expected .. anyway enough rambling

All I would say is ..if you can get one!!

Dragging up a very old thread here but i'm just curious if owners of the original crs have jumped into the comp now?

Having just bought an LCI manual after test driving a DCT Comp i'm very happy i went for the older car.....for now.
