It's no Vulcan, but it's still quite a nice car. Be very interested to hear how one of the world's best handling GT's has been upgraded.

I'd love one of these. I don't want a million pound hyper car - this will do me just fine!

I'm sure that it is a great car but it doesn't look any different to the cars that they've been making for the last fifteen years.
That strategy hasn't really worked for Porsche either.......oh hang ongetmecoat

I will reserve judgement on the looks until I see it in the flesh. However, when the DB9 was launched I remember being bowled over by how good looking it was. I'm not feeling that with the DB11.

Configurator doesn't work for me but some of the "designer specs" in the brochure look pretty good!
Looks nice in darker colours IMHO.

However all seats seem to have that brogue effect which is a bit much, are other other leather "finish" options?

Still such impossibly handsome cars. The DB11 won't age this well.

I thought the V12 was going to be a Mercedes developed unit.

My first impression, from the photos, is that the the exterior detailing looks far too fussy. Is it trying too hard to be different? At least the profile looks like an Aston Martin. Still, as I am not a potential buyer, my opinion matters zilch to AM.

Nope. That's the V8, as the press release says. The V12 was under development before the deal with AMG was done

That does look smart. Shame you don't appear to be able to have the roof strakes in body colour.

I suspect you will, you'll just have to pay for it.

Looks fabulous, a great update on the DB9 to bring it up to date, sufficiently different to be clearly new whilst bringing in some more obvious elements of previous Aston designs, particularly in the grille.

I usually like Astons but I think this looks awful both inside and out. A real mish mash design and not cohesive at all

I think it's lovely.
And as for it looking similair I can only echo the Porsche comments, it certainly hasn't harmed them making fractional variations of the same car for ever and ever and then subdividing it with ever smaller deliniations.
And this is a Gentlemans GT...lovely

Agreed. A lovely thing. I like it a lot. A great evolution over the old DB9.

Looks fantastic, I love that narrow roof and bulging rear quarters!

Can't help but think it has lost some AM styling uniqueness in the wave of current exotic metal.

Looks a bit F-Type from the side profile and a bit Ferrari California at the front. Maybe that's just me, though.

Hmm I'm not too sure. I know they had to do something to get away from the "all Astons look the same" thing they've been doing since forever or so it seems but this looks a bit too chintzy. Where is the usual Aston class that we expect? Also the front is decent looking but that back looks like a mish-mash of an F-type and a Zegato. I'll reserve judgement till I see one in the flesh but at the moment this looks like it's designed to appeal to our foreign moneyed friends rather than the old money British class that we are used to. Too much Vin Diesel XXX and not enough 007 for my liking. I know they have to chase the money but in doing so they are at risk of loosing what makes them quintessentially Aston Martin IMO.
