RE: BMW M4 GTS: Review
Discussion
My god, have you people not heard of the laws of diminishing returns? yes it's double the price, but of course it's not twice the car. it can't be (it is based on an M4, not a Polo...) After many years of such 'Skunkworks' editions, surely we would have got this by now.
something is worth whatever the market will stand. period. so if all 700 get sold, then it will be worth it's price. it really is as simple as that
and to say this car will not get used, i reckon it is selling the owners somewhat short. i rememember being at the 'Ring some 10yrs ago(pre-financial crisis); the dutch boys were out in force - a healthy number had caged CSL! these cars were certainly being used as intended.
anyhow, i really, really like this car. and there was something about it's 'Ring lap what left me super impressed.

Seems like BMW continue to get it wrong, just hope it drives better than it looks.
But first you need to get passed the price tag
BMWs always drive well. And people do pass the price tag. But first you need to get passed the price tag
The E9 CSL was more expensive than the 911RS and went to become a great touring car champion.
Ditto the E30 M3 vis a vis the 911 of that time. It drove very well.
And now the M4GTS, cheaper than the 991RS, is about as quick at the 'Ring.
