Number plate "vigilante"

Has anyone come across this website before? It appears to be one man who lives in the new forest area who drives round taking pictures of people's illegal number plates and other minor motoring "crimes" and posts them online. He also encourages the reporting of these "crimes" to the police or crimestoppers

I expect he'd be treated as some sort of Demigod by some of the folks on here.

Some serious spare time on his hands! But so reassuring to think that somebody is addressing this very serious issue. I lay awake for hours the other night because somebody had used one of those black screw covers on their number plate to make a '7' look a little bit like a 'T'.

I'm really worried now. I've appeared on that site - he says that if you're on there, you've been reported to the police. I hope I don't appear on crimestoppers anytime soon.

Surely, in these days of limited privacy, and with the mountains of data on the Internet, it should be possible to find out his car registration and post it in his own forum....

Naturally he has a YouTube area on the forum too, checked out a few of his videos, all utter non-events.

Still, it's nice that he has a hobby.

Germany has several retired police officers around the country who have needed various strengths of restraining order to stop them from clogging up the courts with their misplaced crusades against their neighbours / anybody who parks outside their flat and it's not just the 1s who use to be in the Stasi.

By all means take photos of cräppy number plates so people can take the píss but reporting them is a step too far for me.
