Good move. What about the obsessives who use green ink?

Jaguar Steve really shouldn't have ventured out of the safety of the number plate thread and into the real world, it's great to see actual sane people counter his lunacy.

I've pulled him a couple of times in that thread after he posits that anyone who moves one digit on their plate two centimetres is a drug dealing psychopath with a slag wife (he really says this stuff, you can look it up!) but I'm always shouted down by his cohorts, they really are a fanatical little club in there.

The thing that amuses me is the constant stream of "This knob got out" or "Car was driven by a fat chav" or "Stupid ahole thinks he's clever" type comments yet to a man every last one of them waits for the owner to leave, snaps a little sneaky pic and then gets all Big bks on the internet.
Just once I'd like to see one of them make a comment to the driver.

A bit like that thread where they’re spotting unrepairable cars for sale on eBay to stop ringers. All has it’s place but someone restoring a vintage basket case without documents is stuffed. Then it turns out the leader of the bunch is actually using the thread to spot and buy car ID’s - he says he then ‘sends them to DVLA’ . Bizarre. Another unpaid quasi regulatory enforcement nutter only in that case he’s shelling out £1000’s of his own on it.

The fkuck what the law says I'll do whatever I want attitude revealed by displaying an illegal plate should concern everybody surely?

If you can't grasp the reasoning behind that maybe it's because that nihilistic self serving mindset is so deeply embedded in your own psyche you've lost sight of the reality.
Is your argument a bit like the "Gateway drug" idiocy that took hold with the whole war on drugs effort in the 60s-90s?

First, ill-spaced number plate, next stop genocide?

That is allowed for as a reconstructed classic.

Yes, but him and his kind are just weirdos, obviously with so little going on they need to hold frankly ridiculous views on things. Each to their own but it's difficult to reconcile that grown adults behave this way. As for taking pictures, if they do it on the mobile in car perhaps questions should be asked? Otherwise a very simple equation is would you actually say to someone. 'I'm taking a picture of your property to take the piss out of you on the internet'. If yes, fair play. If not, which I'd wager would be the majority of them, well what can one say?

My dad had a dateless plate that my older brother now has and I have two early reg plates based on that original.

Neither of them are butchered in any way though.

If wishing to combine two words, surely either "Jaguar steve" or "Chavplates" is spaced incorrectly.

I wonder if the fellow has an opinion regarding the use of hyphens on registration plates.

Is it sad that
- he has created a site to do this ?
or
- that folk muck about with their plates to try to make them say something ?

Both. The degree of obsession is different, though.

It does look like his site covers both experiences of bodgedvplates and st driving skills.

Not that I’m saying that there is any link.
