Would probably pick a McLaren 570S over this.
+1
+2. They are similar on price (before options) and I also prefer the looks of the 570s. The red centre console and door cards on the NSX are just horrid. Its like the designers were told that it was too boring inside and to liven it up rather than integrate it properly.

The hybrid gubbins seem to make it too heavy and complicated. Personally I have very little interest in hybrid technology in drivers cars. The same goes for that gearbox.

I have no idea. The piece quoted the NSX price as "Price: £137,950 (before options)" but not what the options were.

It still has the fundamental flaw of the original one when it comes to actually shifting them at this price point.

The badge.

Its a shame about the exhaust speaker jobbie but all in all i think its a cracking machine
I don't think these are using additional synthesised sounds via speakers ala BMW...this is piped in actual engine noises ala 918...IFAIK

Just don't see the appeal at all.

1 of those is a simple fact
1 is pure subjectivity
1 is also true but has a subjective slant
1 is just wrong

for me:
It's heavy - boo
It's zeitgeist good-looking
It's a Honda! yey!
It's engine noise is not synthesised! yey!

each to their own beer

I just hope the next S2000 does the same thing
As in follow it's namesake in the brief each was set.

Looks nice but way too heavy and overpriced for a Honda.

Buy a true supercar in a new McLaren 570s or Used 12C

It looks nice on the outside but the interior is not great and it sounds rubbish from the inside, a sort of monotone drone.
I would not be looking at if I was spending that sort of money.

I really don't get this type of attitude, why is £140k too much for a hybrid supercar with technology that McLaren doesn't offer and Porsche charge half a million quid for!?!

I'm with you on this. The price reflects the level of r&d spent and technology on offer, also Honda's reputation for quality with respect to reliability.

Honda have made another bargain Supercar with Hypercar tech, savings had to be made somewhere so maybe the interior may not be as special but hey it's a fair sacrifice in my book, this may put people off as it does on the GT-R but it's nice to see another alternative.

Good for them biggrin

The original NSX is a strong contender for having the blandest, most mundane styling of anything wanting to be referred to as an exotic sports car. I almost hate seeing them in the wild because it feels like they take up a sport for a good exotic.

I don't lust after this new one, but I like it. Huge improvement in looks even if not gorgeous; nice interior.

I hope someone gets hold of one of these and removes the electric motors, etc. and then increases the power output of the IC engine.
Did you hear that?

That was the sound of several dozen Honda engineers going "D'Oh!"

Oh wait...

No, it was just silence as the Honda Engineers gently shook their heads. Oh. Dear.

Not my cup of tea but surely great value for the tech, I expected it to be £20k more.
