I like that but not sure I'm that brave ! Also I have history with Renault 5 GT turbos I love them but only car I ever had a big shunt in and got away with it unscathed, the car collapsed like crushing a coke can.

It is the other car in one of the photos that is 10x more interesting. A genuine Skoda 130RS - probably the best rally car to come out of the Eastern Block with some decent competition history in the European rally championship.

I had to be careful washing mine. You could feel the roof flexing and the doors when you pressed on them a little with the sponge or leather.

So gents, what's your take on changing the threshold of mot to cars under 40 years old only, and as a rolling exemption?

Personally I'm wondering if it is the genesis of restrictions of use.

It'll be interesting to see what happens, especially as there are a lot of investments out there and money talks. Maybe we'll all be able to get into something threadworthy in years to come even if the locations where we use these vehicles is restricted. Who knows!

My First Car

Managed to find this snippet on an old VHS video of a trip to Centre Parks in 1992. So please excuse the poor quality of the image although the quality of the car is all me.

Speaking of VHS, look what I found under the rear seat:

I just now need to locate my old VHS copy of Roadhouse for hours (2) of entertainment!

Because some folk would like something other than a Cayman. Incredible as that seems.

Running costs would likely scupper that. The standard 3.0 may be in scope though.

Turbo S cab? How big do the rear seats need to be?

There are lesser engine'd audi quattro cabs too like the 3.2 fsi a4 and possibly a5 and what about a v8 b7 s4. All rocking horse poop as a manual.

Ooo maybe the super charged b8 s4 / s5 - are these even available as a cab and I know this isnt NA but err I'm bending the rules a bit.

Then there is the obvious 911 which isnt really a 4 seater.

Occasional.

Funnily enough, I'd just been browsing early 996 C4 prams.

Budget would be 15-20k max. And there's no pressure to spend that much!

The 3.0s are pretty cheap.

Is the V8 too much for the floppy chassis?
