alking of legends, did you end up getting the Vantage?
thumbup

It’s an awesome car. It got a bit of use last summer but then I put it into hibernation over the winter.

Here it is with a friend:

This made me smile one day as we parked up:

The trouble is cars got a bit out of hand for me over the last couple of years. So I do now officially have too many. New Years resolution is to cut down and sell some.

I think a good end state would be 2 in the garage (probably the integrale and Mondial) possibly a track day thing (probably a Caterham) and then everyday cars for me and Mrs Rejn.

ANd talking of the integrale it’s getting a bit of use. I’ve even driven to work a couple of times in it!!

We had a great day out to cheddar over Christmas with it:

I just LOVE driving it. Such a wonderful tactile experience. It’s a bit scruffy around the edges but I don’t care!

And can I just say welcome back Loon!!! Some awesome posts over the last few weeks. I love that tuned cinquecento.
Joel congrats on the 993 - looks stunning.
Olly - the e34 looks cool too.
Plenty of others I’ve missed too.
Not quite sure why I’ve been such a miserable bugger and not posted immediate responses!
Happy new year all. Oh and finally yes I agree this is my favourite place on the entire internet.

Good luck to them I say.

It wouldn’t be where I’d put my cash but they’ve seen a gap in the market and are going for it so why not.

I’m sure the Chelsea yummy mummies will love the sense of oneupmanship they get dropping their darlings off to school in one of these...

It’s a similar situation to Aston and those new DB4GTs. There’s a part of me that disapproves but actually there’s a bigger part of me that would rather see more of these cars filling racetracks...

Todays wishlist mostly consists of; last one probably won't gain much favour but (paint the wheels silver) and that would do me perfectly as a daily

Yeah I think I’m with cmoose on this one.

Nice stripes but I’ll have silver wheels and the full cooper S 200hp please.

Wasn’t the 1275GT the most powerful mini you could get at the time?

The Snotmobile was MOT'ed this week and the brake testing rollers also log it's weight. Sub 700kg and 130bhp feels very right. driving

yes around 200hp/ton is healthy

So by my maths this mini would therefore need around 240hp...

I rest my case!! smile

Likely. I love the idea but the PTW and likely serving up of said motive is unlikely to live up to expectations. 200bhp per ton should make for a giggle in a road car, 250bhp per ton plus being rather more serious in my experience (gearing dependent, natch).

The OH's R53 Cooper S is about the least performance I'd want in a road car. Ride is terrible and it's more than a little darty on the RFTs, but it loves to be hustled. Good fun if a tad uncouth at times.

Tempted by a Clio RS 200 to replace but have to wait and see how budget pans out. Not yet able to afford that 996 GT3 frown
