I've seen that on Facebook. Your photo?
I copied if from a Facebook group that I follow, but it was apparently taken this morning in London. To redeem myself I took this earlier this evening. It follows on quite nicely from P1 LOT and AV14 TOR.

I had saved a few plates to have a bid on at the latest auction, the prices are absolutely crazy, 29 CDO £12,200 hammer price, I had saved J3 OOO £3K+, GH11 OST £7k+ and JET 5T £2500 (not too bad).
Crazy prices, 488 A £18k+.
I saw those prices, don't quite get why 29 CDO went for that.Crazy prices, 488 A £18k+.
488 A makes sense if your initial is A and you own a fairly new Italian sports car.
Or you're a fan of Swedish 70s pop and chavvy plates...

I know what you mean. I've been after a plate for a while now. I wanted to spend about £1000 plus the taxes and fees and had hoped to get something like XXX ASH. In the end I was just looking at anything with ASH in it even if it wasn't my ideal.Crazy prices, 488 A £18k+.
Hammer Prices of the ones I've been looking at are:
100 ASH - £7200
600 ASH - £4000
666 ASH - £5000
Then I started to look at 'cheaper' dateless plates, I'm sure there's a difference in layout or whatever but even so. Most of them aren't that great and still over budget.
ASH 14P - £1260 (Could have stretched but didn't like it enough)
ASH 33P - £1800
ASH 34R - £2020
My ideal 2x2 plate has just come up but even that's £11k.

For any one interested the RNC (registration numbers club) is holding it's 40th Anniversary this Sunday the 16th at Temple Newsam House in Leeds West Yorkshire, always some old and interesting plates on display and there should be a good turn out...
That sounds about as interesting as a trainspotters convention.Edited by nonsequitur on Thursday 20th July 18:46
