I'm not sure.. The reg PDF states that 'ABC 123' is the pre-63 format, where they added the prefix, so 'JI' would be the area, and 'A' would be the added prefix, but there's no 'JI' area.. There's no NI reg that uses it either..

So maybe Ireland but i'm not sure how their system works..

Interesting. I was going to say it gets about but I was at Silverstone on Sunday as well so not that remarkable. Nice plate though. I also see SOB 1 in Salcombe which makes me smile.
