I see "DAV 1D" hasn't been snapped up yet with Reg Transfers... Maybe £1.5 million has something to do with it.......yikes
Plus the fact that if they dared miss-space it they'd never hear the end of it from Pistonheaders laugh

I don't care, if I was paying that much for that plate, I'd mis-space it. Same with 1AN.

'A History of Motor Registration in the United Kingdom' by Newall and 'Where's it from? When was it issued?' by Woodhall and Heaton. Only for the serious nerd!
Also Noel Woodall's "Car Numbers" books, published every few years from the 1970's onwards are worth a look.

Local plant hire firm owner North Wales.I suspect this is one of those mega investment plates. I think he has had it for years and would love to know what he paid.

And I'd say Reg Transfers wouldn't be shy of asking £250K + for it today...! That is of course the owner would even consider selling it...!

Judging by want they want for DAV 1D they’d probably want 7 figures?!

That's fab, thanks so much!

The first is FSR 1.

The other are these two, acquired by my late father back in the very early 1970s.

A family near me used to run PJ plates, one was on a lister Jag, his name was Pat. He had a helicopter too.

I sold that plate to the current owner. I purchased it at a DVLA auction a fair few years ago.
