Finally saw that Tesla again in Cleadon. It's a good reg in my book but he's broken the cardinal sin of incorrect spacing, so I imagine I will get a rap on the knuckles for posting here:

TE57A EV

Bonus points in my book for the Electric Vehicle (I presume!).

100% in the wrong thread. It's not even a remotely good plate.

Like so many things in life, it’s all a matter of personal opinion.

Saw this one last week. Can't imagine it being the cheapest of plates.

I'm 99% sure this used to be on a 1-Series around ten years ago, the owner was a judge who visited a local pub fairly often for a quick meal.

OLD 82 yesterday - is anyone able to identify when/where this was originally issued?

My father had a chat with the owner (as they are my initials) who stated it means nothing to him and that he bought it on a Land Rover some 40+ years ago.

Unfortunately he wasn't interested in selling!

Haha, how frustrating.

"Great number plate, did you buy it especially?"

"Nah, just came on a car I bought ages ago. Means nowt to me."

"Ahh I see - it's actually my son's initials and he'd love it as it would be perfect for him. Would you be interested in selling it?"

"No."

My mate has a plate that came on a Transit van in 1978 , its on his wife car and he's had the same conversation many a time , just part of the family now so to speak.

I get that. Might mean nothing but has sentimental value. I know a girl who has a private plate that bears no resemblance to her initials or name at all, but was her late Grandfathers. She’ll never part with it.

Spotted this one earlier this afternoon at the local Sainsbury's - nice to spot a plate that resembles something.

Unfortunately it was countered with a Qashqai, that was parked next to the van, featuring a plate fiddled with in an attempt to read "Laura".
