You'll need to use your imagination on the next one, it was "Y 5" zoomed in and taken from the opposite side of a moving Park & Ride bus in bright sun in Brighton. Apparently an 11 year old SL63 with 13,000 miles on the clock.

Ah! That Merc will be the one I saw from a distance and thought it was V5!

Can't find the other thread. Surely this isn't real.

Other thread here - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

But more recently it appears to have been taken over by 2 posters that have taken the original fun out of the thread with just posting pictures & having a chuckle and turned it into a "everyone's a chav" thread.

Re the plate - it appears to have been moved onto an '07 Merc Sprinter at some point based on the details on Cazana.

A Google of the plate itself seems to suggest that it wasn't an actual NHS ambulance it was attached to and was likely a private ambulance that had been left liveried up.
Some more info in it here,

Spotted in Cheshire Oaks the other day!

A couple more along the lines of consecutive numbers and letters. 777 DH is now on a 911 4S Targa and 777 HH is on retention.

I see AG51 BUS quite often around Morley, always thought it was quite clever.

Couple of early-issue plates in Leeds recently:
H 34 on a Merc E53 AMG.
T 1500 on a Mulsanne.

Interesting that 2 OOO sold for £25k+ fees back in 2010 through DVLA but is currently only at 17k, guess there will be a lot of late bidding!

Saw a former workmate’s Nissan yesterday with U ll. Lovely plate; been in her family for years apparently.
