More Garrick Club and less Spearmint Rhino. The whole sufficient power thing is a bit of nonsense from the history of Rolls Royce.
Actually it's not nonsense at all, it's wholly representative of those who don't discuss things like their net worth publicly (in the way Americans would do for example).

And yes, the DB11 is precisely the type of car to appeal to those who would frequent the Garrick or very likely, the Athenaeum.

I'm well aware Rolls-Royce used the term 'sufficient' when talking about power outputs first!
Yes it is nonsense. Aston Martin lost any moral high ground in terms of quoting power when they launched the Vantage 600. Possibly the most ostentatious display of wealth available at the time. Claiming to produce the most powerful car in the world is hardly hiding your light under a bushel.
I wasn't talking about Aston Martin - they never were known for saying the word sufficient when talking about power outputs, I was talking about what the potential owners might say. Members of the Athenaeum and/or the Garrick are not the types the quote figures.

I like the bonnet, very Maserati.
Alas the grill. Since it has been used on every new Ford it has lost it's allure. Aston need to stop relying on the 1960's grill from the DB's designed by Touring of Italy.

The 1950s design by Frank Feeley of England wink

There was a white one at a clasic car meet near Northampton on Wednesday, which did not have a badge, and was still wearing some of the 'camouflage' wrap. I thought it was gorgeous.
Supprisingly, very few people seemed to pay it much attention, or even know what it was .

One of the x2 DB11 that turned up at the VXR Track day at Oulton last month, was more "pre-production" than the other one with no AM badges and not the best fit as you'd expect of an unloved test car that'll end up in the crusher at some point I'd imagine!

I've been scratching my head for weeks on what else the designer's historic inspiration is for this design, which imo is fabulous . It is not an Aston but its 1960s rival Jensen. Take a look at the Jenson CV8 produced from 1962 to 1966.
