Agreed.
Another thread a chap mentioned it was his favourite matchbox.
Mine too, especially the rear.
Needs a hens staircase on the rear window.

How did you get here?
I came in a Frisky prince.

Currently fiddling about with a longitudinal front driving classic renault, super easy to work on and change things.

Strong money wanted for that BMW E3 saloon, especially given it's the "basic" 2.5 and not the 3.3L / 3.3Li variant. "Bavaria" designation only on some US cars, not UK. Mileage not stated, either...

Tasty looking W123 230TE. Priced fairly **IF** the service history, recent work and absence of rust all checked out, along with the reasons for sale after 6 months/6000 miles.

Is it just me or does the sight of a child seat in the back act as a bit of a reassurance about the vendor not being a total shyster?

That W123 looks lovely yes

More cylinders would be nice but you cannot argue with the elegance of that shape imho. Makes moderns look like the chintzy, over-tyred monoliths that they are. Objectively improved in all measurable categories though the latter may be, they remain in various ways subjectively unappealing.

Can just about vaguely remember a neighbour who had one, on a "P"-suffix plate.

I'd like to see its new owner take it into today's average Audi dealership for an oil and filter change, just to see what they make of it....

Pity about the stupid chrome covers, but that Audi's a delightful little thing.

It certainly isn't cheap, but would make a cool and fun starter classic for someone.

Potential to buy it and loan out as a prop car? "Fire up the pre-quattro Audi!"

Is that worth 4 times this week's SOTW?

I love it, reads really well but I just can’t help but think there’s a back story in there. £8k spent and now it’s “getting in the way” after some paint blemishes were found? Hmm...
